REPO offers a ton of fun as you and your friends burglarize abandoned homes infested with monsters. While the base gameplay is engaging enough, you can tweak certain aspects with the help of mods.

If you’re wondering how you can download and install mods, this guide will provide you with all of those details. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll need to download additional software before you can use the different REPO mods.

Before you can mod REPO, you’ll need to download and install a couple of other pieces of software on your PC. The first is the Overwolf application, which is software that allows creators to launch and use in-game applications. Next, you’ll need to download the Thunderstore Mod Manager using the Overwolf app. Once both of these steps are complete, follow the method listed below to use mods in REPO.

  • Step 1: Open the Thunderstore Mod Manager and use the search functionality to locate REPO on your system. Make sure the game is installed on your PC before proceeding with this step. When REPO pops up in the mod manager, click on ‘Select Game.’

  • Step 2: Next, click on ‘Select Profile.’

  • Step 3: You’ll see that the ‘My Mods’ section is blank. Head over to the ‘Get Mods’ section.

  • Step 4: You’ll find a mod that’s pinned on top of the list that appears, titled BepInEx. Click on the mod and then select ‘Download.’ This is the first mod that you have to install in order to get all other mods to work in the game.

  • Step 5: Search for any other mod you want to install in the ‘Get Mods’ section and install them in the same way you did the BepInEx one.

However, simply downloading and installing mods isn’t enough. You’ll also need to set the game directory path on the Thunderstore Mod Manager. Otherwise, you won’t be able to launch the game using the mod manager application, and mods won’t activate.

The following steps should help you set up your game directory to activate all your chosen REPO mods.

  • Step 1: Click on the ‘Settings’ tab on the left side in the Thunderstore mod manager.

  • Step 2: Click on ‘Change REPO Folder.’

  • Step 3: Choose the directory where you installed REPO. By default, the path should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\REPO. However, this can be different for you based on where you have Steam installed in your system.

If you set the correct directory path, you should now be able to run the modded version of the game. Keep in mind that you will need to launch REPO using the Thunderstore Mod Manager when you want to play the game with mods. Launching the title using Steam will open the unmodded version of your game.
