Revenge Counter in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is a combat mechanic that allows you to interrupt an enemy’s Rush Combo or Ki Blast, and counter with your own attacks. If done correctly, this can save you from an entire combo streak. At the same time, it will also let you deal a considerable amount of damage.
Revenge Counter might take some getting used to. Furthermore, you will not be able to use it in every situation. There are optimum conditions for this move to be effective.
How Can You Revenge Counter in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero?
Revenge Counter can be used if the following conditions are met:
- The opponent must attack you from the front.
- The opponent must be using a Rush Combo or Ki Blast.
Revenge Counter costs two Skill Points, and you have to press the Right Stick (R3) at the right moment to activate this mechanic on Xbox or PS5 consoles. If done correctly, your fighter will break the opponent’s combo and have a counterattack of their own ready.
Once you land a Revenge Counter, you should start your own Rush Combos or other attacks. You could also launch a Super Attack if you are confident enough in your skills and if you read your opponent correctly.
Limitations of Revenge Counter in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero
You will not be able to use Revenge Counter if your opponent attacks from behind. This is a major drawback of this mechanic, along with the necessary Skill Points cost.
It should also be noted that Super Counter can interrupt your Revenge Counter. As such, mastering Super Counter is also important, so that you can fight back when your opponent has used Super Counter on you instead.
