The Midnight Walk is a first-person horror adventure game that draws inspiration from stop-motion films. It takes place in a nightmarish world filled with grotesque, surreal environments. Furthermore, the haunting character designs and unique visual styles add to the disturbing tone. This makes it a standout game that plays like a cinematic piece disguised as a game.
The Midnight Walk is scheduled for release on May 8, 2025, for PC and PS5 platforms. Unfortunately, Moonhood, the developers behind the game, have yet to make any announcements about a potential Xbox console release.

Where Can You Play The Midnight Walk?
The official trailer of The Midnight Walk revealed the platforms on which it will be released. Here are the following:
- PC via Steam
- PC via Steam VR
- PlayStation 5
- PlayStation VR2
You can now pre-order the game on PS5 for $39.99. For PC users, the pre-order option does not exist on Steam at the moment of writing. What you can do, however, is add the game to your wishlist and stay updated when the game is ready.
Will The Midnight Walk Come to Xbox Consoles in the Future?
For now, it remains uncertain if The Midnight Walk will ever be on Xbox consoles in the future. The game is currently available on two platforms so far, including their VR versions. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean an Xbox port is off the table. Many titles that started out as exclusives or were limited to specific platforms eventually expanded their reach.
A good example is GTA 5, which was originally for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, it eventually made its way to PC, followed by next-generation consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Another good example is Death Stranding. This game was a PlayStation exclusive. It later arrived on PC and on the Xbox Game Pass.
In recent years, the gaming industry has embraced broader platform availability, often due to player demand or the desire to reach a wider audience. If The Midnight Walk gains enough popularity or critical acclaim, there’s a strong possibility it could see an Xbox Series X/S port down the line.
