Although highly challenging, these New Game Plus modes typically provide greater and exclusive rewards for players.
But what about Clair Obscur Expedition 33? What happens after you get past the ending? Does the turn-based RPG offer a New Game Plus? Fortunately, the answer is yes…There is a New Game Plus mode in Clair Obscur Expedition 33, but you cannot access it like most other games.

How To Start New Game Plus in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
While Clair Obscur Expedition 33 features a New Game Plus mode, you cannot access the mode from the main menu like the traditional approach. In fact, you will likely overlook the availability of the new mode. After defeating the final boss and getting one of the endings of the game, you can unlock New Game Plus mode.
To start a New Game Plus, visit any Rest Points. Interact with them to find a new option, ‘New Game +’, located just above the Return to the Continent option. Pressing the option displays a pop-up that explains the New Game + mechanics along with the warning. Hit the Continue button to start a New Game Plus.

What Does the New Game Plus Carry Over in Clair Obscur Expedition 33?
The New Game Plus mode provides a fresh experience in a familiar world. In fact, it is the only way to maximize your character levels, items, and weapons, allowing you to deal the highest possible damage. You will carry over your character-build progression along with the inventory items. Moreover, it provides exclusive rewards and loot options that make you even more powerful.
However, the difficulty is ramped up significantly. Combat becomes more intense and challenging as enemies have increased Health, Defenses, and Speed stats. The highly rewarding experience also costs all your relationship progression. It resets your relationship levels along with the side quest progression. Moreover, you will also lose quest items in the New Game + run.
