How To Unlock Hironobu Shigeta, 65 Years Old

This substory will be available in Honolulu. However, you must progress through Chapter 2 to unlock it. This substory won’t be unlocked on your first visit to Honolulu.

Instead, it will be available after your meeting with Queen Michele, on your return to Honolulu, once you encounter the Devil Flags. After this encounter, once you return to the beaches of Honolulu, the mission marker should appear near the docks.

Simply head to the marker to begin the mission.

How To Complete Hironobu Shigeta, 65 Years Old

This quest is fairly simple to complete. Once it begins, Hironobu Shigeta will introduce himself and ask to join your pirate crew. However, his family will appear and try to dissuade him from this objective. In the end, Majima will agree to take him out to sea just to experience the pirate life once.

You can pick the option to head out immediately to complete the quest faster. This will put you in a short cutscene where the old man finally gets to enjoy his dream of being out at sea. However, this happiness is short-lived as they get attacked by pirates.

There will be a short encounter with an enemy ship, where you will have to defeat them in naval combat first, then proceed with a boarding battle. After you have won both encounters, another cutscene will play out where Hironobu Shigeta is about to die at the hands of an enemy pirate.

Thankfully, Majima is quick to the rescue and saves him from his grisly fate. When they get back to shore, another cutscene will play out where Hironobu understands the value of his family and how much they miss him.
