If I Weren’t An Idol is the 15th substory in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. This quest is somewhat on the longer side but is fortunately not difficult. Completing this substory rewards you with three new recruits for the Goro Pirates, which makes it worth doing.

How To Start if I Weren’t an Idol in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii?
This quest can be started after completing The Symbol of the City, the Street Surfer. To start this substory, head to the orphanage in Downtown Honolulu. There, you will see a man in a pink shirt. Approach him, and the quest will start automatically.
After you decide to talk to him, the man will explain that he has come to Hawaii for a tour hosted by his favorite idol, Ichigo. However, he is too nervous to enter the tour bus with her. You will be given a few ways to encourage him, all of which will work.
He will give you his name – that being Gu-san – and will ask you to accompany him on the tour. After this, you can choose to start the substory properly at any point.
How To Complete the Substory?
When you decide to get on the bus, you will see that the bus is more than a little crowded. Majima will bemoan the conditions of the tour, but seeing the happiness of the fans, will decide to give Ichigo a chance. The bus will stop for a lunch break, where you will meet two other mega fans of Ichigo.
The lunch break will be poorly organized and everyone will be stuffed on fishcakes. The next stop on the tour will be at the Anaconda Shopping Center. However, due to some mysterious circumstances, the tour bus will be forced to leave in two minutes.
This leads to a race against time where you attempt to reach the bus before the 2 minutes are up. Unfortunately, due to the singular type of food served during the lunch break, Majima will be unable to run. Carefully avoid all civilians on your way to the bus. If you fail this section, you will simply restart the challenge.
Although you successfully made it to the bus, one of the two fans you met will be left behind. The tour will then take you to a live concert hosted by Ichigo for her fans. Just as everything seems to be coming to a good end after all, Ichigo will announce her marriage to her manager, breaking the hearts of all her fans.
Majima will think that announcing it in such a manner is heartless and tone-deaf. And so, he goes to find Ichigo and her manager to give them a piece of his mind. When he finds them, he sees them laughing at and mocking Ichigo’s fans. When he calls them out, the manager attacks Majima.
What Is the Reward for Completing This Substory?
After you teach the manager a lesson he won’t soon forget, it’s Ichigo’s turn. Majima tells her about the hope and love her fans held for her. To betray that is cruel, and she shouldn’t act like an idol if she does such things.
Gu-san will show up and thank Ichigo for pulling him out of a slump with her music before leaving. He will then ask to join your crew, along with the other two mega-fans. With this, the substory will be complete.
