Not Counting the Usual Ones is one of the many achievements you can acquire in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. It is obtained via a substory you can complete, the When You Wish Upon Some Balls substory.
This is similar to The Man Who Erased His Name, which had a similar substory involving a search for 7 Golden Balls. Here is how you start and complete the substory.
How To Start the Substory For- Not Counting the Usual Ones Trophy?
During Chapter 3 of the main story, when you leave the Revolve bar near the start, Captain Beef will talk to you. He will tell you about a fabulously wealthy man named Shen who is a famous collector of balls. He says that in exchange for 7 Golden Balls, Shen will grant any one wish.
Sound familiar? Well, an obvious Dragon Ball reference aside, Majima will accept Shen’s request, and the substory will automatically start. Shen will then send you a message with some clues as to the balls’ locations. You can view this message on your smartphone.
How To Get the Achievement and Complete the Substory?
Thankfully, you do not have to complete the entire substory to gain this achievement. You will get this achievement as soon as you collect any two of the seven golden balls. As soon as you collect any two, the achievement should pop up.
Moreover, you also get clues at the start of the substory to help your search. The clues are not too difficult to decode and are very helpful for finding the location of the balls.
Locations of All Seven Golden Balls
1. Chinese Medicine Shop: This clue refers to Wan Shang Tong Herbal Medicine in Chinatown. The ball is stuck to a poster on the wall.
2. Sushi restaurant: At Shinobi Sushi, one of the ninja statues above the sign has a golden ball in between its legs.
3. Seaside Avenue pool: At the Seaside Avenue in West Waikiki, there is a pool where you can see a man sunbathing. The ball is located on the man and has to be grabbed from the window.
4. Pawn Shop masked doll: This ball is at the Treasure Select pawn shop on Hula Avenue. It is on the mannequin wearing a luchador outfit.
5. Man chasing sickos: This ball cannot be collected as easily as the others. Instead, you must purchase it from Kuroki, the man who lets you play Sicko Snap. You can purchase this ball for 3,333 points.
6. Freak on top of Dunghill: At the Dunghill bar in Madlantis, go up the stairs to the roof. Turn around and look up to see a ledge overlooking the roof. There will be a man standing there with the ball on him.
7. Sweaty man near the Coliseum: Lastly, look near the Pirates’ Coliseum; you can see a man talking to a woman in a red bikini. He will have the final ball. He is somewhat hidden among the crowds of people, so look carefully.
What Wishes Can You Get From When You Wish Upon Some Balls?
Once all 7 Golden Balls have been gathered, Shen will summon you to the docks. He is in the southwestern part of Honolulu. When you talk to him, you can ask for one of four wishes:
- I want a normal, peaceful life: Shen will say that he cannot help with this, and you will be prompted to pick again.
- I want endless riches: Shen will give you $10,000.
- I want eternal life: Shen will give you 100 Staminan X bottles.
- I want s*xy panties: Shen will give you his own golden panties, which sell for $15,000.
