Defeating the enemy ships will net you some rewards. You can get money, items, and experience for the cannon squad as well.
Treasure Islands
These are islands where you and 4 of your crew members can disembark. Furthermore, you will have to defeat the enemy forces on the island to gain access to the treasure on the island. These battles will test your individual combat capability.
Finishing a treasure island will give your crew experience. Additionally, you also gain treasures, which are worth money and pirate points, which raise your reputation.
