Here is a list of comparisons between Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii vs Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is a spin-off game in the Like a Dragon series. It is the second game in the Gaiden series and takes place after Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Being a part of the Like a Dragon series, it has many similarities to the previous games. This includes the game it is a spin-off of, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. However, this does not mean that the two games are completely similar.
There are many differences which players will be able to notice after playing both games for a while. Here are the key similarities and differences between Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii vs Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Similarities
Much like Infinite Wealth, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii follows an ex-member of the Yakuza in the islands of Hawaii. Both are story-driven games with an emphasis on character development. Additionally, both also feature a ton of sometimes funny, sometimes serious side quests. Such quests have been a staple of the Like a Dragon series since its inception.
Both games also let you form a reliable team of allies alongside whom you engage in battles. Also, there are many minigames available to play in both games. All these features and more help Pirate Yakuza capture the feel of a classic Like A Dragon game.
Differences
Although Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and Infinite Wealth are similar in many ways, they are different in just as many. For one, Pirate Yakuza is not a turn-based game like Infinite Wealth. Instead, it returns to the series’ older formula of beat em’ up combat.
Also, although both games let you form a crew, you can only play as the protagonist, Majima in Pirate Yakuza. In Infinite Wealth, you could play as any of your teammates in combat.
Additionally, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii has introduced naval exploration and combat. This is a completely new feature that hasn’t been seen in the previous games in the series. This also means there are many new locations in Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii that weren’t in Infinite Wealth.
Being a spin-off game, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will not be as long as Infinite Wealth, which was a mainline game. Finally, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii will feature New Game+ as part of the base game. This is unlike Infinite Wealth, which did not add this feature until sometime after release.
These were all the differences and similarities between Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
