How Do Clashes Work in Limbus Company?

The Clash system comes into play whenever two skills go against each other. This is displayed by the yellow arrow markers on the screen. If you don’t see those, enable them by clicking on the arrow button in the top right corner of your screen.
Once the skills go up against each other, the Clash begins. A Clash is essentially a battle of your skill stats versus your opponent’s. If you look at your skill, you’ll see that it has a Base Power, Coin amount, and Coin Power. These Coins then flip heads or tails during a Clash, adding to your total power. If the Coin flips heads, you get the power from your Coins added to your Base Power. If the Coin flips tails, however, you don’t.

For instance, your Base Power is 4. You also have two Coins with 4 Power each. When the Clash begins, you start at 4, and then the Coins flip. If the first Coin flips heads, its power is added to your Base Power. This means you then have a total of 8. If the second one also flips heads, it comes to a total of 12.
The side with the lower total Power loses a Coin, and this continues until one side runs out of Coins. Once a side runs out of Coins, the Clash ends, and the actual attack begins. This, too, uses the Coin system.
