Dark and Darker is a PvPvE game that features classic RPG mechanics where you get to explore various dungeons. With the recent addition of a new PvE Adventure Mode, the game is again in the limelight. There are numerous quests in the game to enrich its storyline.
One such quest is the Tavern Master, which you will encounter during the Humble Beginnings chapter. In this quest, a Tavern Master tasks you with exploring the barracks to collect maps. This article will guide you to locate the barracks in Dark and Darker.

Where To Locate Barracks in Dark and Darker
You have to find four barracks during the Tavern Master quest. These barracks are located on the second floor of the Forgotten Castle. Additionally, the quest requires you to collect maps from these caves. Here are further details on the barracks’ locations:
- Crypt 2 Barracks: You will locate the first barracks between the Old Tomb and Underground Altar in the second Howling Crypt. To arrive at the barracks, just move southwards from the Crypt Dungeons. Also, you can refer to the image attached to arrive at the exact location.
- Crypt 3 Barracks: You can find the second barracks in the southwestern part of the map. The precise location of the grave is north of the Lone Bridge and towards the left of the Chapel. For more help, look at the attached image.
- Crypt 5 Barracks: The third barracks are towards the southeast of the central wheel, located between Hallway and Mimic Lair. Additionally, you can also use the Tombs as a landmark, as the barracks are right next to them.
- Crypt 6 Barracks: The final barracks are in the eastern region of the Howling Crypt, between Cemetery and Admiral’s Room.
Rewards After Exploring the Barracks in Dark and Darker
Once you collect the maps from the barracks, head to the Tavern Master to wrap up the objective and claim the following rewards:
- 50 Unique Gold Coins
- 3x Uncommon Potion of Healing
- 3x Uncommon Potion of Protection
- 25 XPs
