There is no single ‘best team’ in Marvel Rivals. Depending on the map and mode, a certain combination of heroes and villains may prove fruitful to your team.

The game offers three major modes in the quick-play playlist: Convergence, Convoy, and Domination. These are divided into the already-existing maps. Shin Shibuya was tailored for Convergence mode in the Tokyo 2099 map of Marvel Rivals. The map is aesthetically pleasing but can be annoying if you don’t have the right team to back you up.

We have figured out what combination might work for you and your pals to ace in Shin Shibuya. Please note that these team compositions can’t outplay skilled players but provide your team with a strong layout that complements each player.

Since the game is 6v6, we highly recommend that you use 2 characters from each class

The Best Vanguards for Shin-Shibuya

Venom

Your favorite symbiote not only looks scary but can also prove useful while playing on maps like Shin-Shibuya. He can scale walls with ease and traverse using his swinging ability, which comes in handy in this map.

This part of the Tokyo 2099 map has some tall buildings and structures that Venom can use while retreating. This will also allow him to sneak up on unsuspecting enemies. Additionally, he has enviable damage.

While he is not your typical Vanguard who can shield his allies, he is strong enough to wreak havoc on the front lines while other team members deal damage from a distance.

Hulk

Once Bruce Banner switches into The Hulk, he is pretty much unstoppable (depending on the map). Thanks to Shin-Shibuya, you will never run out of places to retreat to. Unlike Venom, the big green gamma monster can’t run and scale walls. However, he has an epic ability to jump high and far.

This will allow you to jump over and away when you wish to retreat. You can even lurk behind certain structures and ambush your enemies. The element of surprise will give you the upper hand, and the strength that Hulk carries should be enough to make quick work of whoever dares to stand against you.

Similar to Venom, you can’t shield your friends as Hulk. Additionally, charging into battle head-first should give them enough cover as the enemy team will be busy dealing with you.

The Best Duelists for Shin-Shibuya

Iron Man

Iron Man is fun to use when you just want to annoy your enemies. His flying traversal does not make him that useful when while capturing objectives. However, he provides aerial support like no other character on the roster.

Shin Shibuya is a great map to play as Iron Man because it is open enough to let fly around freely and wreak havoc from the skies. The buildings present provide cover.

Tony Stark’s high-tech suit is also embedded with a devastating ultimate ability that can wipe the floor almost instantaneously upon firing.

Black Widow

We get it. Flying may be a stressful venture for some of the players out there. How about collecting headshots for fun? If that sounds appealing, selecting Black Widow as the team’s next Duelist should be your priority.

Natasha doesn’t have a lot of abilities for crowd control. However, with her sniper rifle and its massive damage, she can turn the tide on the battlefield. Whoever on your team has the perfect aim, should opt for Black Widow while battling in Shin Shibuya.

There are enough jump pads that will allow you to jump atop high structures. You can also use Romanova’s power jump ability to reach places unreachable using normal traversal. While batons will come in handy when a foe gets too close, we suggest that you keep your distance and only use your sniper to maintain the kill streak.

The Best Strategists for Shin-Shibuya

Rocket Raccoon

While mastering a character can take time, Rocket Raccoon is pretty easy to get hold of. You will need to invest some hours to master this Guardian, but once you do, he is an absolute unit on the field, especially on the map in question.

The most strategic ability you can use during the battle is his traversal. He can use his jetpack to quickly get out of harm’s way and also confuse the enemies targeting him. Moreover, the wall scaling ability can also intimidate enemies, while allowing the perfect opportunity to retreat.

He is a great Strategist who can heal everyone on the team effectively while also dealing impressive damage to his enemies.

Luna Snow

Much like any other Strategist, Luna Snow’s primary function is to heal her allies. However, she shines through with her traversal as well. Agile Strategists are preferable on this map. This is because they can dodge attacks while playing a crucial role on the battlefield.

To minimize your casualty rate, we suggest that you choose Luna Snow and skate around the map quickly whenever needed.
