We go over the best team composition for Yggsgard Yggdrasil Path in Marvel Rivals, keeping the map’s Convoy mode in mind.
Team compositions and synergy are at the core of any PVP multiplayer experience, and Marvel Rivals is no different in that regard. The game features eight distinct maps for you to play on, each with its own layout, structure, and strategies. With 33 playable characters added to that, there are quite a few strategic possibilities that open up for competitive players. The Yggsgard: Yggdrasil Path is a fan-favorite map, not just in part due to its gorgeous visuals but also for its gameplay possibilities. In this guide, we shall go over the best team composition for Yggsgard: Yggdrasil Path in Marvel Rivals.
Best Team Composition for Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path in Marvel Rivals
An important thing to keep in mind is that the best team composition for any map requires you to use all roles to their full potential. This means that for six available slots, you need to bring two Vanguards, two Duelists, and two Strategists. The Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path is used for the Convoy game mode, and our picks are determined based on the attacking and defending capabilities of the characters in the game mode.
The Best Vanguards for Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path
The Vanguards in Marvel Rivals are tanks that are primarily used for pushing forward, taking control of space, and protecting teammates. These characters have a massive health pool and can tank a lot of damage.
If attacking, Venom is one of the best Vanguards you can bring on Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path, largely in part due to his mobility. He can easily maneuver around the map to flank and overpower enemies while they defend against the Convoy. He can also do the same while defending, making him the best pick regardless of side.
Magneto is the other Vanguard we highly recommend picking on Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path. While Venom relies on flanking and catching enemies by surprise and causing chaos, Magneto is more of a specialist in guiding his teammates to the objective in a methodical fashion. He can shield teammates effectively while also protecting himself. This will ensure that the team stays alive and can move the Convoy forward. Groot can also be used to the same effect, but we recommend Magneto as he is more mobile with his shields.
The Best Duelists for Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path
While the Vanguards primarily acquire space, the Duelists are your primary source for damage. Spider-Man is one of the best picks on the Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path map due to his mobility. Much like Venom, he can swing around the map and flank enemy lines to deal damage. He can then fall back to support his teammates. The map has great room for movement, and Spider-Man takes advantage of that.
The other character we recommend bringing is the Punisher. Much like Spider-Man, the character is equally viable on both attack and defense. He can use his rifle from range to push enemies further away or can jump into the fray with his smoke screen and shotgun. He is best used, however, with his Ultimate. Get to higher ground using his zipline, and then use his Ultimate to shred enemies below.
The Best Strategists for Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path
The Strategists in Marvel Rivals are support characters and healers. Their job is to assist the team and keep them healthy in the heat of battle. Keeping the nature of the Convoy game mode in mind, we highly recommend bringing Jeff the Land Shark for attack. Your team will be in the vicinity of the Convoy and will be bundled up together more often than not. This allows you to heal them all using his Splash Heal ability. Furthermore, if the enemy team pushes in, you can use your Ultimate to swallow them whole and clear the area.
Jeff isn’t as good on defense, and we recommend bringing Rocket Raccoon in for the role. Rocket is perfect for both attack and defense due to his higher-range machine gun and healing capabilities. You can attack enemies from a distance, picking away at enemy HP. You can also heal teammates the same way, keeping them in battle.
Loki is the next best character you can pick and is viable for both attack and defense. Loki’s ability to shapeshift comes packing with large damage potential, while his Regeneration Domain can keep allies in battle for longer.
