With Season 2 just around the corner, the developers have shared insights on what they can learn from the community to continue improving the game. In the Roadmap section of their Marvel Rivals Dev Vision, Guangguang shared what the developers believe the player base desires. Is it the ability to play new Marvel heroes or to enjoy unique mechanics within each hero’s kit?

To accommodate the entire fanbase of Marvel Rivals, the developers decided that changes are needed to keep things as exciting as they were during the launch of Season 1. To keep things fresh, new game modes are being tested to introduce them as special event game modes, such as the very recent Clone Rumble mode.

Another important piece of news shared in the Marvel Rivals development roadmap is the changes coming to seasonal formats. Marvel Rivals Season 1 was three months long, and so will Season 2. However, starting from Season 3, it will shift to a two-month format, meaning every season will last for two months instead of three. But is it good news?

The answer to that question is yes. With a two-month seasonal format, the devs have decided that a new hero will be added to Marvel Rivals each month to keep things exciting. Not only new game modes, but we will have new heroes to enjoy as well. The developers will share more details just before Season 3, so we can expect further information on this topic as time progresses.

This concludes our article on the Marvel Rivals roadmap and the new seasonal format. Do you think these changes are exciting?
