Pick a hero or a villain and get out in the arena of Marvel Rivals, the hottest topic of the hero shooter genre. Marvel Rivals is a 6v6 team-based game where each team has to complete objectives in order to win. There are three game modes available: convoy, domination, and convergence. Each game mode has its own set of rules and winning conditions.
Moreover, every mode has several distinct maps, and all these maps have their own attributes and playstyle. Some people love playing Hell’s Heaven Domination, while some love capturing Klyntar: Symbiotic Surface. Every map has its fans and haters, and we are going to put these maps on a tier list.
In this article, we have arranged all the playable maps in Marvel Rivals on a tier list. Additionally, this tier list is entirely subjective to the writer’s opinion.
Marvel Rivals Maps Tier List
TIERS | MAPS |
S | Hall of Djalia (Convergence), Yggdrasil Path (Convoy), Spider-Islands (Convoy) |
A | Symbiotic Surface (Convergence), Shin-Shibuya (Convergence), Birnin T’Challa (Domination) |
B | Midtown (Convoy), Hell’s Heaven (Domination), Royal Palace (Domination) |
S-Tier Maps
1) Hall of Djalia (Convergence)
![Marvel Rivals Hall of Djalia](https://deltiasgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Marvel-Rivals-Hall-of-Djalia.jpg)
This convergence map is one of the best maps in the game. The initial capture area is at a great spot that helps both sides equally, and some high-mobility heroes like Spider-Man can utilize the map structure to their use.
The visuals of this map are the best, and every sight is beautiful. You can feel how passionately Wakandan forces have built these monumental structures. The map is very open and gives opportunities to each kind of player and thus deserves to be in the S-tier.
2) Yggdrasil Path (Convoy)
![Yggdrasil Path convoy mode (Source: NetEase Games)](https://static.deltiasgaming.com/2025/02/Screenshot-2025-02-06-172143.jpg)
Another map with great details and somewhat linear pathing. Yggdrasil Path is a convoy map where one team escorts the convoy and the other stops them. Doctor Strange shines on this map after one checkpoint as he can literally cage the opponents using his portals.
The map has so many destructible buildings that can change the tides of the game. Additionally, the map is filled with a mix of alleys and open spaces, which makes a lot of chaos.
3) Spider-Islands (Convoy)
![Marvel Rivals Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands](https://deltiasgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Marvel-Rivals-Spider-Islands.png)
The spider side of Tokyo, Spider-Islands, is a convoy map where a team escorts the spider across the map. The map is filled with alleys and many elevated zones that make this map a perfect place for long-range duelists.
Additionally, Moon Knight can do some amazing plays because the map has so many narrow lanes, and the ricochet damage can be fatal. The reason why this map comes in the S-tier is that there are so many choke points in this map that can literally change the course of the match.
A-Tier Maps
1) Symbiotic Surface (Convergence)
![Marvel Rivals Klyntar Map](https://deltiasgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Marvel-Rival-Klyntar.jpg)
The only reason why this map comes in the A-tier is because of Peni and Groot on the defense side. These two heroes can lock down the whole site, which makes this map entirely defense-sided.
The overall setting of the map is very out of this world and dark. The map is fairly divided into open and closed parts that make it a very balanced map. Moreover, the second half of this map is very wide, so try to capture the objective before this half comes.
2) Shin-Shibuya (Convergence)
![Tokyo 2099 Shin-Shibuya Marvel Rivals](https://deltiasgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Tokyo-2099-Shin-Shibuya-Marvel-Rivals.png)
Shin-Shibuya offers a very unique approach in comparison to other maps. The map has very detailed structures and so many ways of outplaying opponents. However, there are some choke points that can get a little annoying when the enemy team camps the spot using Punisher’s turret. Overall, the map has so many ways to turn the tides, and this makes it an A-tier map in Marvel Rivals.
3) Birnin T’Challa (Domination)
![hitscan heroes marvel rivals](https://static.deltiasgaming.com/2024/12/Warrior-Falls-Birnin-TChalla.png)
The map with a waterfall, Birnin T’Challa, is a domination map with three stages, and their order is randomized with each game. The Imperial Institute of Science has a very unique design, and the central pillar can change the whole map design when destroyed.
On the other hand, Warrior Falls is a map based alongside a waterfall. This stage can also change its map design when the supporting pillars are destroyed. However, Stellar Spaceport is a simple map when compared to other stages. It’s a V-shaped map with not many destructive buildings. The map is overall very fun to play and deserves to be in the A-tier.
B-Tier List
1) Midtown (Convoy)
![Empire Of Eternal Night: Midtown (Source: NetEase Games)](https://static.deltiasgaming.com/2025/02/midtown.jpg)
The latest edition to the Marvel Rivals, Midtown, is a convoy map with long hallways and closed spaces. This map does give an advantage to Cloak and Dagger but overall fails to capture the essence of other maps. On the other hand, this is the only map with recursive destruction, which makes it special among other maps. Other than this feature, Midtown does not shine that brightly and fails to be in the upper tiers.
2) Hell’s Heaven (Domination)
![Explore the secret base of Hydra (Source: NetEase Games)](https://static.deltiasgaming.com/2024/12/Marvel-Rivals-Best-Team-Composition-For-Hydra-Charteris-Base-Hells-Heaven.jpg)
If there’s hell in Marvel Rivals, it’s the Hell’s Heaven map. The secret base of Hydra is filled with chaos energy. There are three stages of the map: Frozen Airfield, Eldritch Monument, and Super-Soldier Factory.
These maps are infamous for being very hard to capture when the other team gets into a good position. Sometimes they might even start spawn camping, which can become a great problem when facing Doctor Strange, Hulk, and Iron Man splashing gamma attacks.
3) Royal Palace (Domination)
![Yggsgard Royal Palace Marvel Rivals](https://deltiasgaming.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Yggsgard-Royal-Palace-Marvel-RIvals.png)
Another domination game mode map with a lot of closed spaces and a V-shaped design. This map also has three stages: Bifrost Garden, Odin’s Archive, and Throne Room. Just like Hell’s Heaven, Royal Palace also becomes very hard to re-occupy when enemies get into a very good position and start spawn camping. There are not many ways to counter a Punisher protected with a Doctor Strange shield in those narrow hallways.
