This guide provides a complete overview of Moon Knight in Marvel Rivals and how you should effectively play with him in NetEase Games’s team-based shooter.
Moon Knight (or Marc Spector) is one of the unique characters in Marvel Rivals. Moon Knight was born when the mercenary Marc Spector’s body was taken over by the Egyptian God of Vengeance, Khonshu. As the avatar of Khonshu, Moon Knight takes out his enemies with his Crescent Darts and Ankhs.
Moon Knight is a duelist with 3-star difficulty, which makes him a little challenging to master. Similar to any other duelist, Moon Knight takes out an enemy easily when facing them one-on-one. Here’s a breakdown of all the abilities, strengths, and weaknesses of Moon Knight and how to increase his potential while playing in NetEase Games’ 6v6 team shooter Marvel Rivals.

How To Play Moon Knight in Marvel Rivals?
Moon Knight’s Mobility
Moon Knight has more ways to traverse across the maps of Marvel Rivals than any other character in the game. Although his base movement involves running like others, he has few other ways to move around the arena and effectively take out the enemies.
His Rising Leap ability allows him to perform a double jump similar to Hawkeye, which helps you to reach higher spots. Additionally, you can use the ‘Moonlight Hook’ ability to reach higher places. It allows you to launch a grapple hook and get to higher vantage points. In addition to the above, his Night Glider ability allows you to glide towards the arena swiftly.
Moon Knight’s Survivability
Similar to any other duelist, Moon Knight loses the advantage when it comes to survivability. It will only take a few hits to completely deplete his health bar (250). Although some of his abilities allow him to move swiftly across the arena, others help him to take out an enemy during a duel.
In a close-mid-range duel, he can easily dominate the fight with various abilities such as Ancient Ankh, Moon Blade, and Triple Eclipse. When surrounded by a group of foes, Moon Knight has nothing in his kit to protect him other than unleashing his ultimate ability.
Moon Knight Playstyle and Combos
Marc Spector’s experience as a mercenary contributes to Moon Knight’s exceptional combat abilities. Moon Knight is an expert at throwing blades and hand-to-hand combat, especially in close-mid range. As Moon Knight has several ways to traverse across the arena, you have more creative freedom to perform your combos.
Let’s say you start with Moonlight Hook to get to a high vantage point, which gives a clear angle of enemies. Then, use your Crescent Darts and Moon Blade to unleash deadly projectiles on foes. Take care of any remaining foes with Ancient Ankh, which deals area-of-effect (AoE) damage.
Hand Of Khonshu, Moon Knight’s ultimate ability, allows him to open a portal, where Khonshu deals serious blows to enemies with his talons.
Best Team Composition With Moon Knight in Marvel Rivals
Moon Knight fits well into any team composition. With a well-executed plan, Moon Knight can take out a group of low-health enemies. His blades are capable of doing AoE damage to all nearby enemies by ricocheting towards them. However, to unlock Moon Knight’s other powerful ability, you need to team him up with Cloak & Dagger, which makes him invisible.
When Moon Knight’s team-up ability ‘Full Moon’ is activated, Cloak & Dagger injects light and dark energy into him. As a result, he will create a Light & Dark Realm to become invisible for a few seconds.
Moon Knight Counters in Marvel Rivals
As we know, Moon Knight is strong in close- to mid-range combat; characters with long-range attacks are the best possible counters against him. Characters such as Hawkeye, Black Widow, Hela, and Iron Man have some powerful long-range attacks that deal significant damage. Therefore, they are effective in eliminating Moon Knight.
