When it comes to mobility, Phoenix is a pretty good hero. With the help of Dark Ascent, she can float in the sky for a good amount of time. Moreover, she descends slowly, which can help in various ways. Additionally, she has a quick dash ability, Telepathic Illusion, that can save her from dive agents by quickly repositioning her to a safe place. Since she does not need to stay at the center of the battlefield, your only enemies will be dive agents, and these abilities will save you from them.

Jean Grey is a duelist who is rated 3-star difficulty. She uses her primary attack to stack Sparks and deal massive AoE damage. She is basically Hela with far greater potential. Each primary attack hit generates a Spark, and your whole playstyle revolves around the stacks.

A critical hit will give 2 Sparks, and after 3 Sparks, the enemies will face an explosion. This explosion deals damage to the character and everyone near him. Moreover, the explosion inflicts the surrounding enemies with Sparks. So, it is recommended to target groups of enemies to maximize damage output.

At last, her ultimate Endsong Inferno is a perfect ability to clear the objective area. This ultimate creates an explosion at the designated area, and if enemies are already inflicted with 2 Sparks, they will be inflicted by one more, creating more explosions. After the ultimate, Phoenix comes back to the location where she activated the ultimate and gets fully healed. Use this ultimate to finish enemies from any chokepoint and get those overtime victories.

This duelist has 275 base health, which is actually pretty good considering she is a long-range hitter. Moreover, each explosion heals her over time, so she is a capable duelist. Each ability makes her one of the best duelists that protect themselves from any kind of threat. Additionally, her ultimate can also heal her fully after the explosion, so she is not going to die easily.

Best Team Composition With Phoenix in Marvel Rivals

Phoenix shines with almost every type of hero, as she can finish off those enemies from afar. Moreover, she can benefit various vanguards by providing support by staying behind them. With that in mind, the following team is perfect for her on almost every map:

  • Doctor Strange
  • Venom
  • Moon Knight
  • Phoenix
  • Jeff
  • Cloak and Dagger

Characters like Doctor Strange can help in finishing off enemies easily. Venom is a great diver who can confuse enemies, helping Phoenix in building Sparks. Moon Knight is a very underrated pick, but he and Phoenix can deal damage to multiple enemies at the same time. As for the support, you can go for anyone, but remember to bring one defensive ultimate.

No one is immortal in this game, and even the power of Phoenix cannot save Jean Grey from some heroes. Even though she is great against divers, a good diving agent can finish her off quickly. Aside from them, Black Widow, Hela, Punisher, and Hawkeye are her arch-nemeses in Marvel Rivals.

Tips and Tricks To Play Phoenix in Marvel Rivals

  • Always try to target groups of enemies to utilize Sparks and deal massive damage. You can always mark two enemies with 2 Sparks and then create a chain of explosions to finish low-health enemies.
  • Her secondary attack is great for applying Sparks, and should be used in a narrow place to mark maximum enemies.
  • Try not to use Telepathic Illusion instantly, as a diver can finish you off without it.
  • Phoenix’s ultimate ability is CC immune, and you can destroy almost everything at the explosion site. Always use this ability to clear the objective area for maximum efficiency.
