Marvel Rivals Season 2 has dropped, and it introduced Emma Frost as the latest hero to join the roster. The mutant with diamond and psionic powers joins as a Vanguard with a “poke” damage gameplay style. The Season 1.5 update did not receive any changes to the rank system, as NetEase Games scrapped the idea of competitive rank decay following community feedback.

How Does Competitive Rank Decay Work in Marvel Rivals Season 2
Your competitive rank will decay by 9 stages in Marvel Rivals Season 2. Simply put, this means you will drop three rank tiers entirely from your last known rank in Season 1.5. This is a very steep rank decay since the Season 1 drop was only seven stages. However, this was at a time when the Celestial rank group was just added to the game, so the overall penalty might have been less.
