With the Hellfire Gala Season 2 update just around the corner, let’s explore the Rank Reset and Map Rotation in Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Rivals’ entry into the free-to-play, third-person shooter genre has shaken up its competition. It is like no other scenario we have witnessed in the last several years. With such a rocket of a success, the team will surely continue riding this bandwagon with the new update. Let us take a quick look at the new Rank Reset and Map Rotation adjustments in the latest Season 2 Hellfire Gala.
Within its launch weekend, Marvel Rivals managed to gather 10 million players, a feat that not many others can boast about. This was even more surprising considering the previous Marvel game did not deliver as expected after all its hype. The developers continue to provide the game and the players with a fruitful experience through ongoing updates, patches, and fixes.
Rank Reset in Marvel Rivals 2.0

The creative director of the game claims that Season 2.0 is going to shake up the competition by resetting ranks. As per your standings in Season 1.5 of the game, your rank will drop by nine divisions. For example, if your Season 1.5 ended at a rank of Diamond 1, your Season 2.0 will begin at rank Silver 1.
This means your rank is likely to drop by three categories—in this scenario, from Diamond to Platinum to Gold to Silver. With the new season just a week away, latch on your grinding boots and rise as high as you can to balance out your rank for the next season.
Map Rotation in Marvel Rivals 2.0

With the new season, new maps will be introduced. However, not all locations will be accessible for play due to the increasing number of maps. To cope with this situation and keep the battlegrounds as fresh as possible, map rotations will be implemented. For Season 2 Hellfire Gala, the map HELLFIRE KRAKOA will be added to the competitive pool.
To make way for the new map, two existing maps will be removed from ranked modes. In summary, the maps YGGSGARD ROYAL PALACE and TOKYO 2099 SHIN-SHIBUYA will be eliminated from the mix. Along with competitive play, tournaments will also incorporate map rotation. But there’s no need to worry—you will still have the option to play on all the maps in the game. Simply enter a quick match lobby or create a custom game, and you will be free to access any map of your choosing.
Are you excited to explore the rank reset and map rotation in the new season?
