Mecha Break: Tutorial Modes, Explained

The tutorial modes in Mecha Break are very different from one another. One directly gives you control of your character in the base, and one gives you a bit of story. Here are the differences:
- Rookie Mode: This mode not only gives you a tutorial for all the combat controls, but you also get to enjoy two quests that are exclusive to this mode. Within the Rookie Mode, there are two story missions –
- Orbital Defense Op – Your character gains access to their first Striker and has to battle through the space station and re-enter the atmosphere through an easy but thrilling action sequence.
- Mashmak Rescue Operation – This is an optional mission that you can choose not to play while in the tutorial mode selection. This mission introduces a boss fight and extraction guides.
- Veteran Mode: You start in the S.H.A.D.O.W. base of operations with a small cutscene about the events that took place during both the Rookie Mode missions. Moreover, you won’t get any tutorials for controls, as this mode is curated for returning players.
These are both the options that you can choose at the start of your journey in Mecha Break.
Which Tutorial Mode Should You Select in Mecha Break?
If you are a first-time player of Mecha Break, you should select the Rookie Mode and also play the Mashmak Rescue Operation. You not only learn basic but important controls, but you also gain knowledge about the lore of Mecha Break. However, if you are a returning player, you can select the Veteran Mode to save nearly an hour’s worth of time.
