Here’s a walkthrough exploration of Imp’s Den and how to complete the quest that takes place in the same region.
Imp’s Den is an unforgiving location that you would need to visit while tracking one of your Bounties in Metaphor ReFantazio. While some players may not find it as difficult, the boss that you need to defeat there can become a real headache due to his unpredictability.
First, go to Martira in Old Castle Town. This is where you can pick up the Bounty quest named The New King of the Imps. The location will lead you to Imp’s Den – Goblin’s Nest. All the fun begins here.
You will find yourself chasing after the Goborn King, but he is nowhere to be seen. This is exactly why we have brought you a guide that will help you locate the target, slay him, and reap the fruits of your labor.
Putting an End to the King of Imp’s Den
After accepting the quest from a Recruiter Dispatcher, head to the Gauntlet Runner and then towards the Imp’s Den. This is where things get tricky because the Goborn King doesn’t spawn right away. You have to lure him out.
- Attack His Precious Mages: Hexer Goborn Esto only uses magic attacks as opposed to their goblin coworkers. These are the ones that you have to defeat to lure out the king. He might spawn at random, so be on the lookout. But first, you may have to kill at least six of these black-hooded mages.
- The King Comes Prepared: Once you have taken down enough pawns, the new Imp King will come out to fight you. There will be four more Goborns of different types alongside him. In total, you will have to defeat the King, Hexer, Manhunter, Archer, and regular.
- Prioritize Your Attacks: Try not to defeat the king last. If you can do so without causing your party much harm, try to hold aggro against the King in the beginning. This is because, if you spare him for the end, he could get empowered and make the fight even more difficult.
Rewards for Completing the Imp’s Den
The battle itself will reward you with some good loot. As soon as you are done with the boss fight, the Imp King will drop Scrapmetal Slab. This happens to be a weapon that you can put to use in your future quests. He will also drop the Imp’s Loincloth. Don’t skip this item because it will be the proof that you’ve completed the Bounty. 1,214 EXP, 591 A-EXP, 874 MAG, and 1,630 Reeve will also be waiting for you.
Once done, go back to the quest giver to finish The New King of Imps. In turn, you will receive a boost to your Courage and 16,000 Reeves.
