Everything you need to know about the Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds, how to unlock them, crafting basics, and more.

The Artian Weapons are essentially Monster Hunter Wilds’ true endgame rewards. Much like the Anomaly Investigations and Guiding Lands in the previous Monster Hunter game, MH Wilds also features a robust endgame.
Once you’ve completed the main story in both Low and High Ranks, you’ll get access to the Tempered Monster Investigations. Completing these investigations and Hunting Quests nets you resources called Artian Parts. These Artian Parts can then be taken to the Smithy (Gemma) to craft the Artian Weapons. Essentially, the Artian Weapons are High-Rank armaments with randomized stats, which serve as the primary driving force of MH Wilds’ endgame.
While the Artian Weapons and crafting can feel a bit overwhelming at first, it’s a fairly straightforward mechanic. Furthermore, it’s also something you don’t want to skip since Artian Weapon crafting is the best way to get the most overpowered weapons in base MH Wilds. Here’s everything you need to know about the Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds.
What Are Artian Weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds?

Artian Weapons are custom armaments that you can craft for all 14 weapon types in Monster Hunter Wilds. These weapons give you the option to choose the Elemental or Status you want to go for, as well as the base damage and Affinity.
The Artian Weapons are also Rarity 8 armaments, meant for the endgame. As you complete the endgame quests and hunt Tempered Monsters, you will obtain Artian Parts. These Artian Parts can then be assembled at the Smithy to craft a custom Artian Weapon. Due to their end-game Rarity, the Artian Weapons come with incredibly high base damage values. Furthermore, every Artian Weapon also offers 3 Level-3 Decoration slots.
How To Unlock and Craft Artian Weapons?

You unlock the Artian Weapons after reaching High Rank and completing the quest. After you complete the hunting quest, which sees you fight a Guardian Fulgar Anjanath and a Tempered Lala Barina, you’ll get the first set of Artian Parts.
From this one quest, you receive just two Artian Parts. However, once you complete the main story quests in High Rank, you get access to the Tempered Investigations. The progression loop of the Tempered Investigations is very similar to Monster Hunter World’s Guiding Lands. Upon completing the Tempered Investigations, you’ll receive plenty of Artian Parts with different Elemental and Status effects.
Crafting an Artian Weapon requires 3 Artian Parts and 10,000 Zenny. Using 3 Artian Parts with the same elemental or status properties will boost said effect in the final weapon. Similarly, using three Artian Parts with different elemental properties will yield a non-elemental weapon, albeit with higher raw damage. To craft an Artian Weapon, simply head to the Smithy (Gemma) and choose Forge Artian Weapon. Once you’ve crafted an Artian Weapon, you can also choose to empower (reinforce) or dismantle it.
Do note that reinforcing and dismantling costs additional Zenny. Furthermore, to reinforce an Artian Weapon, you will need additional Artian Parts.
Best Ways To Farm Artian Parts
The best method to farm Artian Parts is to complete high-level Tempered Investigations. As per our playthrough, the most Artian Parts were obtained upon completing the 5-star Strength Tempered Apex Monster hunting quests. These quests only appear after you defeat the lower 3- and 4-star difficulty variants of the Apexes.
While the amount of Artian Parts received is randomized, the most amount can be received after defeating a Tempered Arkveld. Apart from that, you can just complete regular Tempered Investigations to acquire plenty of Artian Parts. You can also create custom quests with multiple Tempered targets, which are more challenging but offer higher-tier Artian Parts.
