Capcom’s Monster Hunter Wilds is not only about raw aggression, it also requires optimizing your build strategically. Since each monster has distinct strengths and weaknesses, you need to frequently adjust your build to fight them effectively. Beyond the weapons and armor, decorations play a crucial role in making the right character build. This makes Glowing Orb a highly sought-after item, as they become decorations after a quest. While commonly acquired in High Rank, it provides significant benefits for players.

This article will teach you how to get and use Glowing Orb in Monster Hunter Wilds.

How To Get Glowing Orb in Monster Hunter Wilds

Glowing Orb is an appraisal item, meaning it can be automatically converted into another item at the end of a quest. Completing Optional and Assignment quests is an effective way to obtain these Glowing Orbs. They can also be earned through Field Surveys and Investigations. Additionally, hunting High Rank monsters is another reliable method to earn these Orbs.

Certain events quests like Tongue-Tied or Sand-Scarred Soul increase the number of Orbs you earn, making these quests ideal for farming them. Glowing Orb comes in two types: Sword and Armor. While a Glowing Orb Sword becomes a weapon decoration, a Glowing Orb Armor is converted into an armor decoration instead.

The Glowing Orbs obtained during a quest are automatically converted (appraised) into weapon or armor decorations based on the Orb type. Decorations, or skill jewels, are effective ways to enhance your build, allowing additional ways to optimize your build beyond the weapon and armor stat boosts. These decorations come in three tiers: levels one, two, and three. You can equip them with armor and weapons with available slots via the ‘Change Equipment’ menu.

Moreover, you can also acquire decoration through Melding Pot by interacting with Vio in Suja. This allows you to either convert unwanted decorations into new ones or create new decorations.
