Learn How to Use Melding Pot in Monster Hunter Wilds with this detailed guide covering everything you need to know.

The Melding Pot concept is not new to the Monster Hunter series. Simply put, melding allows you to combine excess decorations to craft powerful ones. This feature helps you to enhance your combat abilities by upgrading weapons and armor.
Here is everything you need to know about the Melding Pot in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Where To Find Melding Pot in Monster Hunter Wilds

You will encounter the Melding Pot in Monster Hunter Wilds at the later stages of the game in Chapter 3-3: Through the Dusk. In this chapter, you will visit the Village of Suja to search for the Allhearken. Once you find her, she will invite you to dine with her. Before that, you get a chance to speak to Vio, the melding pot vendor. He will be in a small tent opposite the Smithy in Peaks of Accord camps. You can fast-travel to Suja anytime you need to use the Melding Pot.
How To Use Melding Pot

The Melding Pot allows you to meld specific decorations or additional orbs with the help of decorations and other materials. The melding process works on a points exchange system. Thus, to craft an orb, you must exchange material of the same point value.
In the bottom left corner, you will find an indicator that shows how much more material you need to meld the desired orb. For instance, the Mystery Orb – Sword and Mystery Orb- Armor each require four points to meld. So, to create a desired sword that requires five orbs, you must exchange materials worth twenty points.
Steps to use the Melding Pot:
- Select the Mystery orb you want to craft.
- With the help of the melding meter, choose the material for exchange with the combined value equivalent to the required decoration.
- Once you finish choosing your materials to trade, select Meld, and you will get your new decorations.
Make sure to leave some extra points when selecting material, or your chosen material will go to waste. As you progress in the game, you can convert unwanted Artian materials into mystery Artian materials with the same melding process. Below are the recipes and the requirements:
Recipe | Points | Requirement |
Mystery Orb – Sword | 4 points | Unlocks when you visit Suja for the first time |
Glowing Orb – Sword | 10 points | Unlocks after you complete Chapter 5-1; Storm-cold Vortex |
Mystery Orb – Armor | 4 points | Unlocks when you visit Suja for the first time |
Glowing Orb – Armor | 10 points | Unlocks after you complete Chapter 5-1; Storm-cold Vortex |
Which Decorations Should You Select For Trade?

When selecting different materials for exchange, try to exchange those that you have in excess and would not need in the future. For example, if your combat style does not include guns, there is no point in keeping the Precious Jewels.
Here is a list of different materials with their value for exchange:
Wyverian Melding material values:
- One-slot jewels – Worth 1 pt
- Two-slot jewels – Worth 4 pts
- Crushed crystal – Worth 20 pts
- Dalthydon wool – Worth 20 pts
Meld Relics material values:
- Wyverian bloodstone (Small): 5 points
- Standard Wyverian bloodstone shard: 1 point
- Rusted device: 1 point
- Cracked disc: 1 point
- Broken blade: 1 point
- Crushed tube: 1 point
