The world of Monster Hunter Wilds is rich in eco-diversity. While the game’s promotional material mostly features massive monsters, tons of smaller creatures and endemic life also inhabit this massive world. The Gold Hercudrome is one such endemic lifeform in the game.
The Gold Hercudrome is a scarab-like creature and part of the Hercudrome line of creatures. However, unlike other creatures in these species, the Gold Hercudrome boasts a shiny golden exterior that grants this endemic creature a majestic look. These creatures come out of their hiding during the night. Their golden carapaces reflect the moonlight and light up the surroundings. This shiny golden look makes it one of the rarer creatures in the game and fuels its demand for research. Capturing this creature for research nets you Guild Points, making it highly valuable.

The Gold Hercudrome resides in the Scarlet Forest region of Monster Hunter Wilds. Head over to Scarlet Forest Area 2 or Area 3. Buzz around and explore the areas near the trees where their saps seems to be leaking. The golden hue is difficult to miss, so explore till you find one of the Gold Hercudromes resting on a tree trunk.
Once you have spotted the Gold Hercudrome resting on the trunk, you can capture it. Like with other endemic life forms, the Gold Hercudrome can only be caught using a Capture Net. Equip the Capture Net and aim it at the creature resting on the tree by pressing L2/LT if on a controller or RMB if playing with a keyboard and mouse.
Aiming with the Capture Net brings up a large square box on your screen. This square box is the area of capture, so you have to aim the box over the Gold Hercudrome. Once your target is locked, shoot the hook slinger by pressing R2/RT if using a controller and F if playing with a keyboard and mouse. You will then have captured the Gold Hercudrome.
