MrBeast called out the r/YouTube subreddit for removing a post showing his criticisms of the United States’ healthcare system.

YouTuber James “MrBeast” Donaldson called out the r/YouTube subreddit on Reddit for deleting his criticisms of the United States (US) healthcare system. MrBeast claims that only negative things about him are allowed on the subreddit while anything positive gets removed.
In one of the YouTuber’s recent videos, he donated prosthetics to 2000 amputees. He found recipients from the United States, Ecuador, Kenya, and Guatemala to support in the video. In one of the segments, he complained about the US healthcare system. One of his criticisms was how insurance providers deny claims, leaving people hoping “for a YouTuber to step in and help them.”
Before its deletion, the post had 70.8k upvotes, 3,800 comments, and 6,300 shares. After receiving complaints, the r/YouTube moderators responded, saying that the post was removed by the AutoMod feature. They restored the post, and it is now back online.
MrBeast’s Post Has Been Restored
Multiple X users tweeted about the censorship around MrBeast’s content on Reddit. The YouTuber responded to one of the tweets saying:
“Yeah was on track to hit the front page of Reddit. Such a shame that the mods on r/youtube will do anything to censor mrbeast unless it’s negative about me then it’s magically fine.”

After receiving complaints, r/YouTube moderator u/JokullFrosti responded to the situation and said:
“I actually 100% agree with MrBeast’s statement about healthcare….I was in Nursing for 5 years and during most of COVID. I got sick of the healthcare industry and left. It is a terribly bloated and corrupt sector. The post is live, approved, and shouldn’t go down unless Reddit admins take it down. That’s the only action I cannot prevent.”
The moderator posted a screenshot showing that the Automoderator feature removed the post because of “self-promotion.”
What Did the YouTuber Say About the US Healthcare System?
In MrBeast’s video, the YouTuber had several complaints about the US healthcare system, where he said:
“I wanted to say that the fact that some of these people had insurance and were denied, some of these people had insurance but didn’t have the right coverage. It just doesn’t sit right with me.”
He mentioned that the only way for some of the individuals to seek help is to hope a YouTuber offers them assistance. MrBeast made a separate post on X saying:
“A lot of the people we helped walk again literally couldn’t work because they could not walk. Even if you look at this from purely an economical lense and not a moral lense, helping them allows them to work and pay taxes. So I genuinely can’t comprehend why we don’t.”

His latest video has gone viral and gained over 29 million views on YouTube in a single day.
