These are important items in the game that provide special benefits to players who rely greatly on spells. However, you won’t usually find Welkynd Stones lying around in random people’s houses or out in the world. Instead, you need to know exactly where to look for these.

In this guide, we’ll explain how you can get Welkynd Stones in Oblivion Remastered. We’ll also explore how you can use them for maximum benefit.

If you want to get your hands on some Welkynd Stones in the game, we suggest exploring the many Ayleid Ruins across Cyrodiil. You’ll know when you spot glowing jewel-like items inside these old ruins. The Welkynd Stones do not respawn, and once you collect one from a location, you won’t find it there again, no matter how much in-game time passes.

Keep in mind that the glowing crystals that shine white are not Welkynd Stones but Varla Stones. The following are some locations in the game that you should visit if you want to create a nifty stockpile of Welkynd Stones.

  • Vilverin
  • Vanua
  • Sardavar Leed
  • Fanacasecul
  • Piukanda

There are countless other Ayleid ruins that have these stones hidden inside them. So, make sure to explore as many as you can to find more.

Welkynd Stones are a mage’s best friend. Whenever you are casting spells and you’re low on magicka, you can consume a Welkynd Stone from your inventory. This will refill your entire magicka pool and, in doing so, will destroy one of the stones in the process. So, make sure you carry a number of these Welkynd Stones in battle when you know you’ll need to rely extensively on your spells.

Welkynd Stones are highly useful since certain spells in the game can need a lot of magicka to cast, leaving you with very little remaining to cast subsequent spells quickly. In such instances, the Welkynd Stones can come to your aid and provide an almost infinite supply of magicka whenever needed.
