Oblivion Remastered features a variety of quests to keep the RPG lovers hooked for a long time. In addition to the main storyline, the game offers numerous side and optional quests to add an extra layer of fun and challenge to the rich storyline.
One such optional quest is Repairing the Orrery, in which you need to track, collect, and return some essential items required to repair the Orrery. You will receive this quest at Arcane University. Also, joining the Mages Guild is not necessary to unlock the quest. This article contains everything you need to know regarding Repairing the Orrery quest.

How To Start Repairing the Orrery Quest in Oblivion Remastered
To begin the Repairing the Orrery quest, travel to Imperial City. Once there, locate and enter the Arcane University. Next, you will find two people having a conversation. One of them is a lady called Bothiel. Interact with her, and she will provide you with a quest in which you need to retrieve several items needed to repair the Orrery.
Retrieving the Items
In the Repairing the Orrery quest, you need five dwarven items from various camps. Start by visiting the Camp Ales, located west of the Imperial City and north of the Kvatch area. As you arrive at the location, some Bandits will start attacking you. Defeat them and collect the Dwarven Cog and an Undiscovered Letter from the corpse of the Bandit Carrier.
Use the obtained letter to track the locations of the other four camps. Additionally, you will notice green marks on the map, indicating the bandit camp’s locations. Head to these camps one at a time, and defeat the bandits there to retrieve the dwarven items. Here is a list of all the camps and the attached items:

Once you obtain all the required items, return to Arcane University and hand them to Bothiel. Next, you must wait for one day to let the Orrery repair. After one day, head through the wooden door to arrive at the Orrery. Now, all that is left is to activate it and receive the reward from Bothiel.
