The latest Palworld X Terraria Update has evolved the game further with the introduction of new features and gameplay mechanics.

Pocketpair’s open-world survival game mixes crafting mechanics with farming, crafting, and creature collection. Palworld, with its visually stunning aesthetics, resembles a title in the popular Pokemon genre. But the game distinguishes itself with its unique gameplay mechanic called Pals. These collected creatures don’t just act as your companions but also as helpers, combat assistants, and in some cases, resources.
Ever since Palworld’s early access release, developer Pocketpair has continued to evolve the game with new updates and quality of life changes. Palworld’s long-awaited update, Tides of Terraria, is based on the Terraria X Palworld release. The collaboration includes various armour, weapons, items, and more related to Terraria.
The latest update released with a lot of features for players to instantly keep up with. Here are five major changes in the latest Palworld X Terraria update to look out for.
1. Fishing & Salvaging

In the latest Tides Of Terraria update, fishing was added as a feature. It allows you to catch Pals out of water with the added bonus of aiming for the specific passive skills. This also allows you to salvage the items you gather from the ocean using Pals that can swim. Look out for glowing fishing spots found all over the map.
2. New Weapons

As part of the latest update, new weapons have also been added to Palworld X Terraria. These weapons include different guns, grenades, and even a grappling hook.
- Boost Gun: Firing at allied Pals buffs them while dealing damage to enemies.
- Megaboost Gun: An improved version of the Boost Gun.
- Charge Rifle: Capable of firing a charged energy round, dealing powerful damage.
- Overheat Rifle: Allows players to hurl a storm of endless bullets towards enemies without the need for reloading.
- Energy Shotgun: A close-ranged weapon with explosive energy rounds.
- Pal Recovery Grenade: A healing grenade that can that restores HP to allied Pals.
- Ultra Grappling Gun: A gun that fires a grappling hook that, instead of damaging enemies, lunges you towards them.
3. New Accessories

The new update also comes with new accessory slots that you can craft with Ancient Technology Points. These new accessories bring a lot of quality-of-life changes and enhance the player experience as well.
- Triple Air Dash Boots: Just as the name suggests, this accessory allows players to perform a triple dash while airborne.
- Enhanced Hip Lantern: A lantern that can light up your way automatically at night.
- Elemental Support Whistles: These whistles are capable of enhancing the elemental damage of your allied Pal.
4. New Island Types

New locations have also been added to the map. While traversing the outskirts, players can come across three new island types. Make sure to visit these places as they contain new Pals for you to collect.
- Glaciers: These are frozen floating land masses located on either the northern or south most part of the map.
- Shipwrecks: On the eastern and western parts of the map, there are new shipwrecks for players to explore.
- Oasis: Found on the southeast part of the map, these beautiful islands are filled with waterfalls and lakes.
5. New Pals

Finally, onto the Pals. 15 new Pals have been added to the game as part of the Palworld X Terraria Update. These Pals come with their unique gameplay mechanics and resourcefulness.
- Herbil: This little furball is a healing-type Pal that can revive players when incapacitated.
- Icelyn: Icelyn is a frost-based Pal that changes the player’s damage type to ice when fighting alongside them.
- Frostplum: Another ice-based Pal that buffs its allies’ reload speed.
- Palumba: This Pal can be ridden and runs faster on grass.
- Braloha: A towering plant-type Pal that is capable of shortening the time it takes to produce eggs at the Breeding Farms.
- Munchill: Makes the food in your inventory less likely to spoil.
- Polapup: This water-puppy can be ridden to descend from slopes quickly.
- Turtacle: A water-type Pal that reduces the player’s armour weight in their inventory.
- Jellyroy: Another water-type Pal that looks like a Jellyfish. Inside the base, Jellyroy’s watering speed is increased.
- Gloopie: The gloomy-looking creature is a dark-type Pal. It decreases the capture gauge depletion during the fishing minigame.
- Finsider: A water-type Pal that can reduce the weight of weapons in a player’s inventory.
- Ghangler: Ghangler is a water-based pal that can be ridden to traverse across different water bodies.
- Whalaska: This ice-based Pal boosts the player’s capture time during the fishing minigame.
- Neptilius: A water-based Pal that can leap high into the air when ridden on water.
