The Rootdredge in Path of Exile is an optional boss that creates chaos by summoning minions and setting off powerful explosions. This boss is located at the Foul Ritual, a random location in the Sandswept Marsh in Act 3. Rootdredge is a necromancer who relies heavily on his magic to do the heavy lifting. As you kick off the boss fight, the necromancer will reanimate corpses buried under the arena. The mindless zombies, called the Bogfelled Commoners, will then zone in on you slowly. We recommend staying on the move to avoid being cornered and overwhelmed by the swarm.
Some of these reanimated corpses carry axes and may blend well within the horde. These enemies hit hard, so keep your eye on the swarm to watch out for these guys in particular. AOE attacks are the way to go to deal with the mob. Use AOE attacks to wipe out the swarm in one swift go. The best way to defeat Rootdredge is by prioritizing clearing zombies and being aware of glowing green enemies.
