The Invoker Ascendancy is a flexible and powerful choice for players who prefer high mobility, and defensive synergy between Evasion and Energy Shield.
Everything about Invoker Ascendancy in Path of Exile 2
Invoker specializes in Ice or Lightning damage and enhancing the skill damage. Invoker Looks like a strong choice for cast on critical builds but lacks some defensive capabilities and the quality of life nodes. This makes it a more damage-oriented Ascendancy choice in Path of Exile 2. It uses elemental magic in its attacks and utilizes abilities more than its counterpart in combat. Invokers change into Unbound Avatars that deal additional damage and enhance the ailments inflicted on foes.
Ascendancies are the specializations for your character, granting you additional options to customize them to your playstyle. Path of Exile has three Ascendancy Classes for every Class. At the beginning of the game, only two will be available per Class. As you progress you will unlock powerful Ascendancy options to refine further and enhance your build.
The passive skills of Invoker Ascendancy in Path of Exile 2 offer increments to elemental damage and defensive capabilities. These passives also introduce unique mechanics like Unbound Avatar and Elemental Expression in combat when activated. Use the Invoker Ascendancy to gain both offensive and defensive advantages and amplify their combat strategies.

Lead me through Grace…
Gain 1 Spirit for every 6 Energy Shield on equipped Body Armour. Gain 1 Spirit for every 15 Evasion Rating on equipped Body Armour. Cannot gain Spirit from Equipment. This passive skill grants Spirit based on the Evasion Rating and Energy Shield of the equipped body armor. It also prevents getting Spirit from other equipment. The Energy Shield and Evasion Rating directly influence the amount of Spirit of your character. This node modifies how your character gains Spirit.
…and Protect me from Harm
Evasion Rating also grants Physical Damage reduction. 40% less Evasion Rating. You gain an extra layer of defense due to the Evasion Rating that decreases the incoming physical damage. This allows for a hybrid defensive approach that merges physical damage and reduction. While planning your character’s defenses the decrement in Evasion Rating needs full consideration.
Faith is a Choice
Grants Skill: Meditate. This passive skill allows the players to channel and recharge their Energy Shield. The Channelling ends upon reaching the Energy Shield cap or upon taking heavy damage. This gives a strategic layer to the playthrough, allowing you to boost your defense before jumping into any intense combat. The enhanced Energy Shield is for a short time and is removed as foes inflict damage.
I am the Blizzard…
Gain 10% of Damage as Extra Cold Damage. On Freezing Enemies create Chilled Ground. The 10% of your damage adds to cold damage, enhancing the total damage output in combat. Whenever you apply freezing on enemies, this effect makes chilled ground, causing a slow movement speed of any enemy above it. This passive skill focuses on cold damage and freezing effects, granting additional damage and increased control on the battlefield.
I am the Thunder…
Gain 10% of Damage as Extra Lightning Damage. 25% chance on Shocking Enemies to create Shocked Ground. The 10% of your damage adds to lightning damage, enhancing the total damage output in combat. There’s a 25% chance to generate shocked ground when you inflict the shock ailment on foes. The shocked ground deals additional damage to enemies standing on it and amplifies the damage they get from any other damage source.
…and I Shall Rage
Grants Skill: Unbound Avatar. This passive skill allows you to gather Unbound Fury with every Status Ailment inflicted. Once you reach maximum Unbound Fury, you become Unbound for a duration to further empower your character. This one is crucial for every aspect and allows you to dominate your enemies for a short duration or clear a large cluster of enemies in no time. It’s recommended to use it in a condition where you’re no option left to defeat enemies.
During this duration, you gain enhanced elemental damage and your normal hit applies elemental ailments, increasing your offensive capabilities. However, the cooldown time is determined by the time it takes to accumulate 100 Unbound Fury. You can activate Unbound Avatar more frequently if your build can apply more ailments per second. The cooldown will be longer if your build applies ailments less frequently. Overall, this passive synergizes with the build that inflicts elemental ailments more frequently, allowing for more Unbound Avatar activation.
The Soul Springs Eternal
Meta Skills gain 35% more Energy. It boosts your character’s Meta Skill by granting a 35% increase in Energy. Meta Skills are the kind of abilities that provide utility or defensive benefits like Unbound Avatar and Meditate. It allows for additional effective and sustained use by enhancing defensive strategies along with overall combat.
Sunder my Enemies…
Critical Hits ignore non-negative Enemy Monster Elemental Resistances. This passive increases your slam attacks and provides 10% additional physical damage for each 10 Strength. This means that you gain a 100% increase in Physical Damage, boosting the effectiveness of the slam attack with 100 Strength.
This passive synergizes with the build, focusing on high Strength and allowing for massive damage increase. You can combine this passive with Earthquake or Hammer of the Gods to increase the damage output. However, this passive requires a significant investment in Strength to empower the perks.
…and Scatter Them to the Winds
Grants Skill: Elemental Expression. Trigger Elemental Expression on Melee Critical Hit. This means that this unique passive grants the Elemental Expression skill that triggers upon landing a melee critical hit. The elemental expression leaves a strong wave of elemental power, dealing massive damage to the closer enemies upon activation.
You can combine it with Cast on Critical Strike setups to make it more potent against enemies because it allows elemental damage along with melee critical hit in combat. The Elemental Expression is a new mechanic that creates a fiery explosion with the bold of lightning and wave of projectiles. The wave is proportional to your Intelligence, a bolt is proportional to your Dexterity, and the explosion depends on your Strength.
Invoker Ascendancy Base Class in POE2
The Invoker Ascendancy base class is Monk. The Monk is a new class with intelligence and dexterity attributes that focuses on applying elemental damage. This class starts near the Shadow class on the passive skill tree. Monks get early access to nodes, increasing lightning and cold damage along with defensive choices like Spell Suppression and Energy Shield. The primary weapon for the Monk is the Quarterstaff which roll attack modifiers. Monk abilities consist of elemental damage with agile melee combat.
Monks focuses on Quarterstaves and unarmed combat. Monks are potent to enemies due to their skills, in dealing lighting damage and cold damage. Some abilities apply ailments like freeze or shock, increasing damage output. Use crowd control and high-damage skills to maximize effect. Energy Shield and Evasion focuses on survivability mechanics. Monk in Path of Exile 2 combines area control, mobility, and elemental effects.
Falling Thunder, Killing Palm, and Glacial Cascade are the best massive damage-dealing skills that players can use during fights. Monks specialize further through two Ascendancy Classes, Invoker, and Acolyte of Chayula. While the Invoker focuses on empowering skills, inflicting ailments, and elemental magic, the Acolyte of Chayula on the other hand focuses on using the Spirit of Darkness to deal damage. Tailor your playstyle towards elemental prowess through Ascendancies. The Monks can use attacks to crowd-control mobs, freeze your enemies, and deal AoE damage. Monks depend on constant motion and activity in the game.
