Ascendancy is a specialized subclass chosen for your character, granting stronger passive skills and unique mechanics. They allow you to refine and focus your character’s build by customizing the gameplay. The Ritualist Ascendancy This specialization offers unique gameplay mechanics and itemization benefits. They gain significant item-related advantages, such as additional ring slots through the Unfurled Finger node. The Ritualist is a unique and powerful Ascendancy class in PoE 2 that focuses on dark rituals, blood magic, and tactical sacrifices. In this guide, we’ll discuss everything you need to know about Ritualist Ascendancy, including its Pros and Cons in Path of Exile 2.

Everything about Ritualist Ascendancy in Path of Exile 2

The ritualist has some unique abilities from blood boil, which would cause explosions that will give corrupted blood to nearby enemies. However, the big one that I see here is that you can get an extra ring slot. If somehow this pairs with Ingenuity, then this is busted. You’re also able to perform rituals on rare monsters, steal some of their mods, or even sacrifice your own HP to get a random mod that a monster could get. The Ritual Sacrifice allows you to sacrifice the corpse of an enemy to gain one of its monster modifiers for a short time. You also gain a third ring slot by unlocking the Unfurled Finger node. Mastic Attunement increases all stats on rings and amulets by 25%.

The Ritualist allows you to gain the ability to equip an additional ring for a total of 3 and enhanced effects from rings. You can further maximize the effects of having more accessory slots by increasing the ring’s effect. Unfurled Finger and Mystic Attunement are the two best skills from this ascendancy. They allow you to gain 3 ring slots and further increase their effects by 25% for a total of 75% bonus effects from the three rings combined. It’s worth mentioning that the effect of these two skills depends on the rings you get in the game.

The players who choose the Ritualist Ascendancy have the ability to corrupt enemies and cause them to erupt and damage closer enemies. However, the effects of Corrupted Blood are not confirmed right now. They can also consume monsters or invoke a ritual to achieve rare enemy monster’s modifiers. As a result, the Ritualist gains unique effects in combat and uses an enemy’s power against them. You can also gain multiple modifiers, as there’s no limitation of getting only one modifier. The Ritualist also has the ability to enhance Ring and Charm slots in their equipment.

  • Mystic Attunement- 25% increased bonuses gained from Equipped Rings and Amulets

Corrupted Lifeforce

Enemies in your presence accumulate blood boils periodically. When they die, the boils pop applying Corrupted Blood to enemies near them. This ability causes the enemies to grow volatile Bloodboils. It allows you to spread Corrupted Blood to nearby foes and cause them to burst. This is great for clearing packs of monsters but not good for single-target damage. We are also not sure that this node has a good scaling as well.

As the Whisper Ask

This node grants you the skill Ritual Sacrifice. You can use it on the corpse of a rare monster to get a random monster modifier. You actually use it on the monster corpse, and then you get all the monster for modifiers. This means that you can absorb all of the monster modifiers if nothing changes. However, the Ritual Sacrifice will take about 3 seconds, so assume that the skill will last for 40 seconds. You can probably support it with persistence as well for it to last longer. Ritual Sacrifice also has some potential combo with the tame beast.

As the Whisper Demand

You just remove 20% of your maximum life to grant a random monster modifier. If you can’t pull from a really good pool of monster modifiers, then this node will definitely be not worth it. There can also be a cooldown to ritual sacrifice skills because if there is, you can’t fish for a good monster modifier.

Intricate Sigils

This node provides you with a +1 charm slot and 20% more charm charge gain. This is pretty good, as you don’t get a lot of plus one to charm slot, so you get one by default.

Mind Phylacteries

This node allows you to consume 25% of the maximum mana to trigger charms with insufficient charges. In an ideal situation, you can have all your charms up. This means you will be immune to all elemental ailments and to stun. You can get them from the charm, have rarities, and with a lot of the unique charm comings.

Wildwood Persistence

This Ascendancy node gives you a 5% increased life recovery rate per 5% missing life. This can be a sleeper OP node, as it can affect recoup and leech. It has a really good potential to be building a really tanky setup. This node will require a really specific setup to make it shine, as it has the capability to tank a lot of small hits and sustain over time.

Unfurled Finger

This node gives you +1 Ring Slot. This is probably the most exciting node for the wish list as you get an extra Ring slot and that is huge. You have to choose a downside and it’s not even that bad as reduce elemental resistant or elemental resistance is not that bad. The best option to pick is probably going to be -15% all elemental resistance as it’s equal to only 1 Suffix on the Ring.

Mystic Attunement

This node allows you to gain 25% increased bonuses from equipped rings and amulets. Mystic Attunement is a better version of Ingenuity as it also scales the extra Ring Slot from Unfurled Finger. It pairs extremely well with the Ingenuity Belt. This node is expensive and should be considered as a second character instead of a league starter. Both the Unfurled Finger and Mystic Attunement can give you a 40% increase in damage output. If you pair both of them with the Ingenuity Belt, then everything just goes together so well.

Ritualist Base Class in POE 2

the huntress class poe2

The Ritualist base class in Path of Exile 2 is the Huntress. This is a brand-new class introduced in the Dawn of the Hunt update. This class is a dexterity-based class that offers us a new weapon called a Spear. The Ritualist and The Amazon are the two ascendances of The Huntress. The players of this class use a spear and a buckler, allowing them to deal damage in both melee combat and ranged combat. They can harness energy from the wild, tame beasts, and weave in and out of combat with the help of 20 new Huntress skills. The Huntress can combine many of her skills to create different variations of attacks. They can even tame defeated beasts and summon them to fight at their side.

However, the players can only have 1 active beast at a time. You can stab with the spear and throw it. Not only do they have a parry when using a buckler, but you’ve also got these spinning whirlwind slashes and tornadoes. Path of Exile 2 offers some unique skills that allow you to throw your spear as well as attack in melee range. It’s worth mentioning that The Huntress is not a tanky class, so battling in melee range can put you in danger. You get the opportunity to shoot out cyclones of ice, lightning, or fire while also having the opportunity to do a complete bleed build. Your main skill will be whirling the slash that you can create around you, and it gets bigger the more you do it on the spot.
