Discover all the harmful and hostile entities in PEAK, including the terrifying Scout Master. Learn how to beat or avoid enemies.

PEAK transports players to a vast, remote island that they have to climb in co-op or solo mode. At first, it may appear as though the island is completely deserted and that the players are its only occupants. While this is true to a large extent, the island harbors creatures that present challenges to the nature scouts. While most of these enemies are minor inconveniences to watch out for, one terrifying monster lurks on higher ground.
All Enemies in PEAK

Jellyfish
Appearing in the Shore biome, Jellyfish trip any players that step on them. They aren’t dangerous, and accidentally running over them makes for comic relief upon starting the game.
Sea Urchins
Also spawning in the Shore biome and sometimes in luggage, Sea Urchins are poisonous. Coming into contact with them will apply a poison stamina debuff. Avoid them entirely or wait for the poison to wear off if affected.
Bees
Bees are dangerous enemies in PEAK that guard beehives in the Tropics biome. Getting too close to the beehive will activate the bees inside. They will then begin chasing you for a short duration, causing poison damage if they make contact. While one teammate kites the bees, another can loot the beehive to get honeycomb.
Ticks
Players have a random chance of picking up ticks in the Tropics biome. Ticks slowly damage the stamina bar with poison buildup. A teammate can spot and remove a tick on a player’s body by holding “E.” In solo play, you will have to wait until a tick gets bigger before you can remove it.
The Scout Master

A monster with elongated limbs and a gaunt frame, the Scout Master is the most terrifying entity in PEAK. The Scout Master appears if a player ventures too far ahead of their party, or if the Scoutmaster’s Bugle is used in solo play. Once it appears, the Scout Master turns PEAK into a survival horror game.
The monstrosity will chase the triggering player relentlessly for around a few minutes before disappearing. The game’s visuals will become blurrier as it gets closer. If it catches up, the Scout Master grabs you before hitting you and knocking you back.
How To Beat the Scout Master in PEAK
It is generally easier to escape the Scout Master downhill rather than while climbing up, as the monster scales cliffs with ease. You can hang off the edge of a sheer cliff wall and wait for the Scout Master to fall down as it attempts to get to you. Then, climb up and run ahead before it can catch up. You cannot attack the Scout Master and beat it directly. Once it disappears, you unlock the Mentorship Badge and the Inverted Eyes cosmetic.
