Learn how to get Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, and Tinkaton in Pokemon GO during the Horizons Celebration Event 2025.
If you’ve been waiting to catch Tinkatink and its evolutions in Pokemon GO, this is the right time to get started. The Pokemon Horizons: The Series Celebration Event is giving you access to these Paldean species for the first time. Here’s what you need to know and how to make the most of it.
This limited-time event runs from April 16 at 10:00 a.m. to April 22, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. local time. Tinkatink is part of the featured Pokemon lineup during this window, so you’ll need to stay active in-game to catch or hatch one before it rotates out.

There are a few different paths you can take to encounter Tinkatink during the event. You don’t need to follow all of them, but knowing your options helps you plan better.
Wild Spawns
Tinkatink doesn’t appear directly in the wild during this event. Instead, other featured wild encounters will fill up the map. But don’t rule out future spawns once the event ends.
Egg Hatches
Focus on 7 km Eggs right now. You can get Tinkatink by hatching these Eggs during the event. Once it ends, Tinkatink may move to the 10 km Egg pool, which tends to be harder to manage due to longer hatch times and more competition in the pool.
If you’re planning to hatch multiple Eggs, remember to place them in incubators during the event. You’ll benefit from a 1/2 Hatch Distance bonus, making it quicker and more efficient.
Paid Research
There’s an optional research ticket that costs US$4.99. Completing the tasks from this gives you a guaranteed Tinkatink encounter. The same research also provides items like an Incubator and an avatar pose. The ticket expires on April 22 at 8:00 p.m., so any unfinished tasks and unclaimed rewards will vanish after that.
How To Get Tinkatuff, Tinkaton in Pokemon GO
Catching Tinkatink is just the first step. To get its evolutions Tinkatuff and Tinkaton, you’ll need Candy.
- Use 25 Tinkatink Candy to evolve it into Tinkatuff.
- Then, use 100 Tinkatink Candy to evolve Tinkatuff into Tinkaton.
To gather Candy faster, you can:
- Walk with Tinkatink as your Buddy
- Use Pinap Berries during captures
- Hatch more Eggs that include Tinkatink
You can also transfer any extras you don’t plan to keep. That adds a little more Candy to your total.
Can Tinkatink, Tinkatuff, Tinkaton Be Shiny in Pokemon GO?
Yes, there is a chance to find Shiny versions of these Pokemon. During the event, Tinkatink hatched from Eggs may be Shiny. That means you’ll need a bit of luck when hatching 7 km Eggs. There’s no guaranteed method to trigger a Shiny, but hatching more Eggs increases your chances.
If you manage to hatch a Shiny Tinkatink, evolving it into Tinkatuff and Tinkaton will keep the Shiny form. So, you only need to find one Shiny to complete the full line.
