Rainbow Six Siege X comes with new marketplace features and gameplay updates. Read our article on all the new marketplace features in the game.

Rainbow Six Siege has been the go-to game for most first-person shooter fans. The tactical team gameplay provides multiple ways of approaching a situation. Moreover, the attackers vs defenders playstyle pits teams of elite operators against each other. Every operator comes with its unique gameplay mechanics and abilities.
Rainbow Six Siege doesn’t centre around just reflexive shooting; it also focuses on tactical positioning and strategic teamwork. The gameplay loop revolves around action with grounded gameplay, where every decision counts.
Ubisoft Montreal has continued to update the game since its launch in 2015. From adding new maps and operators to balance tweaks and updated marketplace features, with a significant number of changes.
The latest update, Rainbow Six Siege X, also overhauls the gameplay and adds new marketplace features to the game. These new changes focus on Rainbow Six Siege membership cosmetics and R6 credits. To have an in-depth idea of the marketplace, check out our explanation below.
Marketplace Features Explained

The Rainbow Six Siege X marketplace works as a hub for selling and purchasing cosmetic items from other players. These items can be purchased using the in-game currency called R6 credits. The marketplace has its own in-game economy, and the prices of these items can inflate or deflate with time. Therefore, timely purchasing or selling items is paramount. The marketplace also provides a secure way of buying and selling operator skins, items, and cosmetics.
The Rainbow Six Siege X update changes the exclusive membership cosmetics from 12 to 3 months before being added to the marketplace. It also offers players an option to exchange unwanted or duplicate items for R6 Credits or trade them for other items. As of now, players cannot earn free R6 Credits in-game, they have to purchase them through the Ubisoft Store. A few third-party services may offer R6 Credits, but they shouldn’t be considered trustworthy.
The marketplace automatically matches buyers and sellers as per their item listings and prices. Players can only have up to 5 active purchase and sale orders at once. Lastly, you will have to wait for 15 days to resell an item that you have recently purchased.
