Practice Is Very Important in Rematch

The first and most important thing you should know is how to practice in Rematch. If you go to the main menu, you can enter Freeplay mode by pressing the button at the bottom right of the screen.

Doing so lets you enter an empty field where you can play alone. You can practice any moves or tricks you know so that you can master them. Additionally, there is a handy Ball Recall function that brings the ball back to you. This saves a lot of time by not needing to scurry around to get the ball.

Utilize the Walls Around You

In Rematch, the ball never goes out of play, as there is no line for it to cross. Every player is surrounded by screens that give the feeling of playing outside. As a player, you can bounce the ball off the walls and reposition it either for your team or for yourself.

The best use of this is on top of the goal. You can fake a shot to make the keeper start his catching animation, then bounce the ball off the top of the goal and shoot it in, confusing the keeper about where the ball went.

Rematch is all about teamwork. One thing many new players struggle with is catching the ball after it is passed to them. However, there is a specific button to help with this. Pressing that button makes your character reach for the ball automatically when it passes by. This is very useful for not missing easy passes. Here are the default buttons for this action:

  • V on keyboard.
  • Cross on PlayStation controller.
  • A on Xbox controller.

You can change this to any other button by navigating to System. Mastering this tip can help you beat most beginner players with ease.
