Currently, REPO does not have random matchmaking. So, if your friends are too busy or have places to be, you miss out on hunting for treasures for the Taxman! Here is one way how to find a random game group that you can enjoy REPO with!
Using Discord as a Way to Find Game Groups
REPO is fairly popular currently, so you will not have much difficulty finding a group of people who speak your language or English in general. Using the official REPO Discord server, I’ll take you through steps that will help you find the game group faster.
- Step 1- Join the community REPO discord server here, or look for discord servers that mainly play REPO or other Co-Op games.
- Step 2- Join the server you like, make sure you read the rules, and be respectful to everyone out there.
- Step 3- Usually, servers have a language channel that helps you find people who speak your native language or English. Verify it on the server, and a new channel for your language should be present on the server channels tab.
- Step 4- On the channels tab, there should be an ‘Introduce Yourself’ channel. Say hi, and make it fun.
- Step 5- A couple of people should tag and ask if you want to play REPO and will ask for your Steam ID as REPO can only be played with friends currently. You can also join a couple of voice chats to ask if they want to play with you.
- Step 6- Once someone hosts a server, enjoy a game of REPO with them!
When Will Matchmaking Arrive on REPO?
Matchmaking servers should be up on the next update, as the developers, Semiwork Studios, have uploaded a YouTube video stating the same. The reason for the lack of matchmaking servers was that they simply did not think the game would blow up as it has right now. However, they have promised that the work is being done to fix that and that the only way to play REPO multiplayer currently is through your Steam friend list.
