REPO: How To Play With More Than 6 People

REPO is a co-op game that only lets up to 6 players play together. This can be a bit of a letdown, especially for larger groups who want to participate in the fun together. While there isn’t any official way of increasing the max number of players, you can always use a mod to get around this restriction.

In this guide, we’ll explain which mod you need to install for this specific functionality. We’ll also help you install and activate the said mod in the right way, allowing you to play with all your friends without anyone feeling left out.

How To Play REPO With More Than 6 People

You will need to download and install a mod named MorePlayers if you want the game to support more than six players at a time. You can download and install the mod using the Thunderstore Mod Manager. Follow the steps mentioned below to get the mod working with the Mod Manager.

• Step 1: If this is your first mod, download and install the Thunderstore Mod Manager, alongside the Overwolf app. If you have other maps already installed, proceed directly to step 5.

• Step 2: Open the mod manager and search for REPO using the search bar. When you find it, click on Select Game.

• Step 3: Click on the Get Mods section and then click on the BepInEx mod that has been pinned on top of the list.

• Step 4: Download the BepInEx mod. This is a prerequisite mod that is necessary to get all other mods to work.

• Step 5: With the BepInEx mod installed, search for the MorePlayers mod in the Get Mods section.

• Step 6: Download the mod by selecting ‘Download with dependencies.’

Also, if this is your first time modding the game, you’ll need to set up the game directory path in Thunderstore. For that, go to Settings and choose Change REPO folder. By default, the path should look something like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\REPO. After that, you have to launch the co-op horror game from within the mod manager itself if you want the mod to remain active.

After installing the MorePlayers mod, you can also customize how many players you want in the game at once. By default, this is set to 10 with the mod.

How To Customize Max Player Count With the Mod

You can customize how many players you want to join in your game using the Thunderstore mod manager. Follow the steps mentioned below to select your preferred number.

• Step 1: After installing the MorePlayers mod, make sure to run the game at least once to generate the config files for the mod.

• Step 2: Exit the game and choose the Edit Config option on the left-hand side of the mod manager.

• Step 3: In the window that opens, click on “BepInEx/config/zelofi.MorePlayers.cfg.” Then, click on Edit Config.

• Step 4: You will find the option to increase or decrease lobby size. Simply enter the number you desire.

• Step 5: Click on Save to apply the changes to the mod’s config.

When increasing the max number of players allowed in the game, keep in mind that higher numbers can cause bugs and glitches to appear in-game. Also, you might face challenges regarding stable connections for all players.
