As mentioned, Zoo or Oof is a classic game of hide-and-seek. At the start of each round, all players in the server vote to pick a map. After a brief intermission, they will spawn on the map and are randomly sorted as animals or the zookeeper. Your objective and play style depend on which team you are on.

Animals have to survive till the timer at the top of the screen runs out. All animals can see the zookeeper at all times, as shown in the photo above. Use that to your advantage. You can use the E button to taunt the zookeeper and earn money passively. However, beware, your character gets highlighted in red when you use the taunt. This allows the zookeeper to spot you through obstacles. The closer you are to the zookeeper while taunting, the more money you will get.

What animal you get will influence the speed with which you move and how many hitpoints you have. For example, an elephant is quite big and will have to be shot multiple times, but it has a low speed. An ant has to be shot once, but it is quite small and can hide easily.

You can also earn more money if you stay out in the open more. The closer you are to the zookeeper, the more money you will get at the end of the turn because of the risk.

Each round will have one person selected as the zookeeper. You will get a sniper rifle that you can ADS with and shoot tranquilizer darts at the escaped animals. Larger animals are easier to spot but require multiple shots to be eliminated. Remember, all animals can see you through obstacles at all times. You can only see them through the walls if they use the taunt feature.

Moreover, each successful shot and elimination will net you money. If the animal is near, you can hipfire and land shots. However, at longer distances, do use the ADS feature. Press T to use the scope on the rifle to zoom in. Smaller animals are quite agile and can be harder to hit. Be patient, and do not spam the left mouse button. Take your time to line up the shot. You will have one and a half minutes to tag every animal to win. If a single animal escapes, the zookeeper loses.

Cosmetics and Tickets

You can buy cosmetics during the intermission in the lobby. Use the money you get from taunting and shooting animals to customize your animals or the zookeeper costumes. Do note that none of the cosmetic changes impact the gameplay other than making visual changes.
