Ashenfall in Runescape Dragonwilds is no joke. There are enemies and threats around each corner, and you have to keep yourself armed with the best weapons and armor if you wish to survive. Thankfully, the game gives you plenty of powerful weapons to pick from, especially if you’re a magic user.

The magic-based weapons are some of the best weapons in the game, and the Staff of Light sits at the very top among them. Sitting at Power Level 4, the Staff of Light has an Attack Combo of 4 paired with a 4.5x Rune Damage multiplier. The Staff is an absolute machine when it comes to shredding through enemies, and is a must-have for any magic user.

The one issue with the Staff of Light is that it isn’t easy to find. It’s not out in the wilds and cannot be found through simple exploration. You find the Staff of Light recipe as part of the Highlighting the Problem quest in Runescape Dragonwilds. You then craft it using the resources required. As stated earlier, you find the Staff of Light recipe in the “Highlighting the Problem” quest in Runescape Dragonwilds. You begin this quest by talking to the statue in the northwestern corner of Bramblemead Valley. Select the “Saradomin smells” option and then take out the goblins nearby. Head north and then take the first right down the cliff to find a hidden path. Traverse the path to reach the Vault entrance. Continue through the vault till you reach a dead end and need to scale up a wall. Use Wind Step to scale up the wall and find another statue. Interact with this statue and then head back to the first statue you found. 

Talk to the statue and select “Pthentorok” and you will receive three orbs. Link the three orbs to the tower to complete the quest and receive the Staff of Light recipe. You can then craft the Staff of Light using the following ingredients at the Smithing Anvil: 

• 16x Blightwood
• 8x Wild Anima
• 4x Sapphire
• 12x Vault Shard
• 1x Vault Core
