With a price of $11.99 US/month, the recent changes for the monthly paid service make it even more worth the price. On top of the usual cosmetics and V-Bucks you get, you will also get the battle pass from various major game modes in Fortnite.
This is a big deal with the recent price increase of the Fortnite Battle Pass. From 950 V-Bucks, it is now 1,000 V-Bucks. This means you will save a lot of money by simply purchasing the monthly paid service instead of paying every season to grind for a new set of rewards.

Fortnite Crew Pack
Every month, a new Fortnite Crew pack will be featured. Players who subscribe during the period will get a skin both in Fortnite and LEGO style. There will also be accessories included in the pack like a back bling and a pickaxe that matches the theme of the month.
Battle Pass
The main battle pass of Fortnite for its battle royale game mode. Each season offers a ton of skins and accessories to collect. There will also be special missions where you can acquire even more rewards.
These missions are usually more challenging and will require time and effort to complete. This is also the longest battle pass to complete out of all the ones featured in the Fortnite Crew subscription.
OG Battle Pass

LEGO Pass
This one is for the LEGO Fortnite game mode. You usually make progress here completing missions daily. You can gain Fortnite Battle Pass XP here just by playing this game mode. It’s actually easy to gain levels if you don’t mind playing a sandbox game.
Rocket Pass
Progress through the Rocket Pass to get premium items for Rocket Racing. It can only be acquired by purchasing the Fortnite Crew subscription. This is an exclusive battle pass and you can’t purchase it separately.
1,000 V-Bucks
This is the main currency of the game. You can use it to purchase a battle pass if you decide to cancel your subscription. You can also save it to purchase other items in the in-game shop.
If you are out of time and still need a few extra levels to claim a battle pass reward, you can use V-Bucks to purchase levels. However, we don’t recommend that as you can get XP for free by simply playing the game. Only purchase levels if you can’t afford to play the game and the seasonal battle pass is ending soon.

Before You Buy the Fortnite Crew Subscription
Keep in mind that you will need to keep the Fortnite Crew subscription until you have acquired all the rewards in each battle pass. You will lose any battle pass rewards you have yet to acquire if you cancel your monthly subscription service. This means you can’t claim more rewards once your subscription has expired.
If you cancel your Fortnite Crew subscription, you can still enjoy its perks until the end of the billing period. If you want to unlock all the rewards from Battle Pass, make sure to renew your monthly subscription. You can also just purchase the battle pass separately using V-Bucks. But that’s a more expensive option.
Is the Fortnite Crew Subscription Worth It?
Yes, it’s worth paying for a Fornite Crew sub this season. Not only will you get the usual rewards, you’ll also unlock battle passes from various game modes with no additional fee.
However, you’ll have to commit to leveling up all the battle pass and get all the rewards. It would be a waste if you can’t claim all of the rewards in time. With the recent nerf on XP gain, it will be a bit more challenging to get all the rewards quickly. You might even need to renew your subscription a few more times if you can’t claim all battle pass rewards within a month.
