Split Fiction, Hazelight’s split-screen co-op adventure game, won over gamers around the world, reaching 259,000 concurrent players on Steam shortly after its launch. In addition to its engaging narrative, the game is a visual step up from its predecessor, It Takes Two, and features stunning scenery that alternates between fantasy and science fiction.

With the release of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060, its users and prospective buyers may seek to dive (or re-dive) into the game and push its visual experience to the extreme.

Best Settings for Split Fiction With RTX 5060

Split Fiction was developed using Unreal Engine 5 and is an extremely well-optimized game. For gaming at 1080p and 1440p, it barely uses 7 GB of VRAM and is unlikely to suffer from CPU bottleneck issues, with the recommended processors being Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X.

The RTX 5060 is well-suited to run Split Fiction with maxed-out settings at 1080p ~120fps and 1440p ~80fps. Here are the best settings to achieve the highest Split Fiction visual experience with the RTX 5060.

Anti-Aliasing

  • Anti-Aliasing/Upscaling: AMD FSR 3.1
  • FSR Mode: Quality

Graphics

  • V-sync: Off (Turn on for 60Hz display)
  • Framerate: Unlocked
  • Texture Quality: Ultra
  • Shadow Quality: Ultra
  • Detail Level: Ultra
  • Effects Quality: High
  • Shader Quality: Ultra
  • Anisotropic Filtering: 16x
  • Post-processing Quality: Ultra

Key Considerations for Performance

Can You Play Split Fiction Solo?

  • If you encounter any performance issues, you can switch Shadow Quality and/or Post-processing Quality from ultra to high. This will lead to less accurate distant shadows and lower resolution reflections, but can significantly boost the frame rate.
  • FSR Mode can be switched from Quality to Native AA for an almost indistinguishable improvement in anti-aliasing, but it will lead to a 10-15fps drop as a result.
  • Although the game has low CPU and GPU requirements, it still recommends 16 GB of RAM for ideal performance. Ensure you have the recommended RAM to prevent any bottlenecks for the RTX 5060.
