Split Fiction has one of the most immersive and experimental levels, both campaign and side missions. One of them is the Mountain Hike Side Mission, available for you and your partner to explore in the second chapter of the game.
This enigmatic level will have you exploring through the harsh mountain ranges and meeting eccentric giants. Here’s how you can find the Mountain Hike side mission and its walkthrough.
How to Find The Mountain Hike Side Mission
The Mountain Hike side mission is hidden in plain sight. In Chapter 2, reach the Big City Life section where either you or your partner must enter a port-a-potty and be thrown to the other side.
However, instead of following the main instruction, look behind and throw it on a building with a ladder extension. The player in the port-a-potty can exit and unlock the ladder extension for the other player, allowing you to enter the distorted level.
Mountain Hike Side Mission Guide
The initial bits of this side mission are straightforward, leading you to a bell. Ring the bell and two Jotunns will take you to the other side of the mountains, aiding you with their massive bodies.
These giants will help you to move across with hook points and remove any obstacle in your way. The final area includes a bit tricky platforming sequence, but all it takes is patience.
Lastly, you will climb a fishing hook, allowing the giant to throw you back into the real world. The level doesn’t have any unusual puzzles or areas, but the breathtaking environment and platforming around the giants make it a surreal experience.
