Split Fiction Chapter 3: Train Heist Mission Side Mission Guide

Let us take you through a simple walkthrough on how to complete the Train Heist Side Mission in Split Fiction.

Feeling a little overwhelmed with all the fantasy elements of nature, Let’s take a quick break and dive into a fast-paced chase sequence. Glide through a fun highway, ski through the water, and chase the train while avoiding the projectiles being launched at you by the Conductor. 

To reach the Train Heist part of the mission, you will have to play the third chapter till you reach a point where Mio is tasked with dragging Zoe on a floating water stick across the water. Towards the end of this trail, you reach a surface with two possible paths to choose between.

The left path takes you to the main mission, whereas the right path takes you to the side mission. To continue towards the side mission, grapple hook towards the indicator on the screen, commit to a quick wall run, and grapple hook once more to reach the top surface. You both will then need to run to the right, where you will see the glowing orb.

Stage 1

After interacting with the orb, you and your buddy will spawn in the air some rocky lands and a highway. Gliders appear on your collective backs as you glide through tight spots and turns. Zoe then explains the next task.

Once you glide through a waterfall and reach a dam, a chase sequence begins. You and your buddy have to dodge the incoming mines as you follow a Train Security Defense called ‘The Conductor’, which you have to blow up later in the mission.

You continue following it through a tunnel, dodging incoming trains, till you reach an open water area.

Stage 2

At this stage, both of you attach strings to the train as you water-ski your way through the collapsing bridges on your path. The Conductor will keep shooting and destroying elements in your surroundings, causing obstacles to appear on your path.

You have to avoid all the incoming projectiles till you once more equip your gliders. Once you reach close enough to the train, you grapple your way onto the train.

Stage 3

The Conductor will try to blow up your path as you make your way ahead. Keep running forward as you dodge the incoming obstacles. The train won’t make it easier as it constantly twists and turns.

Once you reach closer to the front of the train, two mini-ships are available to interact with. Once the both of you interact with the ships, a mini cutscene triggers, leading to the fourth and final stage.

Stage 4

A mini-boss fight is triggered where you have to face the conductor in a platformer perspective gameplay sequence. The Conductor has a health bar at the top of the screen.

You both need to time your dodges right and keep firing at the Conductor, till its life depletes. Once defeated, both of you will fly off into a portal on the second compartment of the ship, teleporting you back into the Underlands.
