Explore the Moon Market, a mystical bazaar filled with fantastical creatures and playful challenges, while tailing three magical cats.
A magical market where creatures come to sell their wares, the Moon Market was created by Zoe as a child and will have you chasing three cats across it. The laid-back side mission has some spectacular sights and hilarious activities. Still, there are a few tricky parts where you may require some help, starting with how to get to the level in the first place.
Finding the Moon Market Side Quest
After you defeat the Factory Warden in Chapter 4, you will come across a rotating platform with lasers to your right and two switches straight ahead. The lasers lead to the main story, while the path ahead leads to the Moon Market. After shooting both switches, use the platform to reach two more switches. Zoe will mention the side mission, and you can activate the switches to reach the Moon Market side quest.
Moon Market Guide
As you enter the Moon Market via an ethereal boat, interact with the glowing cat in front of the gate, and it will open the way forward. In the market square, three magical cats will dash away in different directions, and you’ll have to find them to open the gate to the fort. This area also has a lot of fun activities that you can try, like picking up a wand, making potions, and eating candy that inflates you into bouncy balls. You can pursue the fantastic felines in any order.
Pink Cat
Following the pink cat will lead you to a house with chicken legs, referencing the dwelling of Baba Yaga. To reach the house, jump across the chasm and grapple onto one of the witches’ brooms as they fly by. After you are dropped off, loop around to the other side of the house until you find two lanterns.
Lighting their corresponding lanterns with Zoe and Mio will cause a ladder to drop, allowing you to climb the house. Follow the cat by observing the pink paw trails it leaves behind. Once you reach the top of the house, kick the chest open using both characters and head back to the castle gate.
Green Cat
Following the green cat will lead you to a closed door with a cat drawn on it in two colors. The same design is furrowed in the ground. You have to fill it in with flowers that match the corresponding colors of the cat design on the door. Have both characters don the hats at the start of the area. The player with the green hat will have to draw the cat’s right legs, tail, and ears. The one with the blue hat can fill in the rest.
Once the door is open, push the large mushroom off the cat. Since the door you entered through will be closed, you can turn right and jump through the floating spheres of water to reach the castle gate.
Blue Cat
While pursuing the blue cat, you’ll each have to grab a lantern and parkour over the platforms that materialize as soon as you get near them. Keep in mind that both players will need to stick together while crossing over. You can go right to experience a Dark Souls Easter egg and straight ahead to follow the cat.
Going forward, a giant cat will prevent you from crossing over to it. You will need to go up the steps to the right and play the harp to lull it to sleep. As the player with the blue lantern plays the harp, the other can cross over to get the final magical cat. Head back to the central area and into the castle to complete the Moon Market level.
