This article will walk you through the Royal Palace mission in Rise of the Dragon Realm in Split Fiction to make things easier for you.
Split Fiction Rise of The Dragon Realm will bring players back to Zoe’s fantasy fiction. Similar to the other chapters in Josef Fares’s new co-op adventure, there is a lot to do in this fifth chapter, including platforming, solving puzzles, and, of course, flying with the dragons. However, to make things simple, we will walk you through the Royal Palace section of Chapter 5 in this article.
The Royal Palace in Rise of the Dragon Realm
After you and your companion escape from the Treasure Temple, you will find yourselves in an underground area full of riches and gold falling from the walls. This is the first level of the Royal Palace. To escape the particular room you fell into, you must solve some puzzles.
In the room, you will see a locked door and four statues. First, spray acid at the glowing parts of all the statues. It will create new platforms for you to reach the gate. Then, smash into the gate with Zoe’s dragon to open it. Move forward, and you will see three platforms that you will have to jump over to reach the other side. Once you are on the other side, keep moving forward, and soon you will come across a giant wheel with a metal guard.
Now, use Mio’s acid to melt the guard. Then, jump into the wheel and start rolling as Zoe to move it down the hill and smash into the big gate to open it. After that, the wheel won’t be of much use to you, so follow the path to the right side. There will be three pillars shooting flames to block your journey. They all throw flames at the same time, so the moment they stop, move past them.
Defeat the Floating Hands
Be prepared because the moment you step foot in the next area, two giant metal hands will start to attack you. You and your companion will have to work together to beat them. First, use Mio’s acid to melt the metal off them, then Zoe will be able to do roll attacks to destroy their crystal exterior.
When the hands are destroyed, your next path will open up. Go forward, and you will see a spinning wheel. Time your jump perfectly and use the wheel’s motion to reach the next platform. Then, keep following the path, and you will almost instantly spot a green floating boat. The controls of the boat will be covered by metal, so you know what to do. Melt it away with Mio. Then, you will have to keep crashing into the circular panel with Zoe to move the boat.
The Boat and Column Puzzles
Shortly after, you will find a chain holding a stone object on your right side. Burn the chain with acid, and it will drop a wooden gate that will serve as your platform. Now, go through the newly opened path, and you will find a second boat pretty quickly. This time, there won’t be any metal guard on the controls. However, you will find three flame-throwing pillars similar to the ones you encountered earlier. Move past them once it is safe to do so, and you will see yet another chain holding a stone weight on your left. You know the drill—melt the chain and move forward.
In the next area, you will find three columns, each with a golden dragon face on its side. There will be three crystals behind the golden dragons. You will need to smash into them as fast as possible with Zoe to open the next gate. The next puzzle is a bit tricky, and you and your partner will have to work in cohesion.
Similar to the previous one, you will need to charge into three crystals to reveal three statues. The moment you see the statues, hit them with Mio’s acid to open the next path. Remember that you will have to hit the statues before they start to disappear.
Go Past the Dragon Skull
Continue with your journey, and you will find yet another boat. This time, both Zoe and Mio will have to stand on both pink-colored crystals to lower the boat. Now, step onto the next platform and keep going. Shortly after, two armored feet will attack you. This fight will be similar to the metal hands one, so you already know how to defeat them. Once you have destroyed the metal feet, the giant dragon skull will open its mouth.
Move past the skull, and you will spot a purple orb at the end of the road. Jump into it as Zoe, and it will create a wind stream that will launch you onto the next platform. Then, burn the dead knight with Mio’s acid. It will reveal a pink crystal on the back of the dragon statue. The statue will shoot a beam of laser and open the next area when you charge into the crystal as Zoe.
Continue down the new path, dodge the giant swinging axes, and you should find another knight. Burn it with the acid and charge into the crystal to get to another purple orb. It will open another wind stream, which will help you reach the next cliff.
The Final Column Puzzle
The next area is quite tricky because if you stand on the platforms for too long, they will drop into the lava. Just like before, there will be three dragon panels Zoe will have to smash into and then three statues Mio must shoot acid at. After you have solved it, follow the opened path. There, burn the two chains holding weights on both sides of the road to lower the dragon statue with the pink crystal. Then, smash into the crystal, which will open the gate.
Remember the armored hands and feet you defeated earlier? All of them will attack you together in the next room. But you can beat them again, so burn the metals and break the crystal bodies. When you are done, continue along the path to find another boat. It is all familiar by now—stand on both of the crystals to make the boat go up. Then, burn another knight, smash into the crystal, and move forward.
Make Your Way Into the Treasure Traitor Boss Room
Eventually, you will see some crystal and metal structures blocking your path. On your way forward, you will encounter some golden balls and pillars rolling your way. Burn the metal portions and smash through the crystal portions of the pillars, and avoid the golden balls to reach the next room. It will be a boss arena where you will face off against the Treasure Traitor, which marks the end of the Royal Palace section in the Rise of the Dragon Realm in Split Fiction.
