In this Split Fiction guide, we shall go over how to complete the Dragon Slayer mission in Chapter 5, Rise of the Dragon Realm.
Split Fiction’s Chapter 5, Rise of the Dragon Realm, throws you into the Fallen Kingdom of Dragons. The kingdom thrived in all its glory until the Megalith fell to corruption and brought down the kingdom with it. Now, Zoe and Mio traverse this fallen kingdom in search of Megalith to defeat the corrupt dragon.
But before Zoe and Mio can get rid of Megalith, their search brings them toe-to-toe with the Dragon Slayer, the first boss of this chapter. The Dragon Slayer is Megalith’s second-in-command, his general, and slew several dragons during the war. Even with two dragons by your side, the thought of taking on anyone named the “Dragon Slayer” is nothing short of intimidating.
Found right past the large crystal gate puzzle, the Dragon Slayer is a tricky enemy to beat. With the bottom half of his body missing, the Dragon Slayer floats in the air and swings down his greatsword with might. The boss mixes and matches a variety of attacks, so if you’re stuck here, let us help you. How To Beat the Dragon Slayer

The first thing you notice is that the arena is wide open with no places to hide. You have to take the Dragon Slayer head-on. But before you do so, there are a few attacks you need to watch out for. The first thing you need to watch for is the sword swing. The boss swings his sword and sends a wave across the ground. These are slow and can be jumped over. The boss does these in waves of three. Jump over them and attack him as he rests on the ground.
The next attack you need to watch out for is the sword plant. The Dragon Slayer will lunge and plant his sword into the ground, sending out two shockwaves. The first wave is when he plants it, and the second is when he pulls it out. Time your jumps and dodge the attack.
Irritate the Dragon Slayer enough, and he will let out a battle cry and drop scorpions onto the arena. These are slow and serve as a distraction. The boss will drop orbs onto the floor, marked by blue circles over the arena. Avoid the circles and kill the scorpions.
As his health drops, the boss will use several lightning attacks. He will send in bars of lightning that track you, drop in orbs from above, and use some of the aforementioned attacks. Dodge them and attack the boss while he’s on the ground to defeat him and complete the mission.
