How To Complete Stalker 2 Dead Frequency Mission
1. Reach Camp Icarus
Start by heading southeast from the tower in Azimuth Station. Use the main road to avoid unnecessary risks. Pass the Ward checkpoint instead of going through the Sand Mine. A guard will stop you at the checkpoint and ask you to turn back. Show him the Ward Badge from Korshunov to gain access. Once inside, you will unlock the mission “Like a Moth to the Flame.”
2. Complete ‘Like a Moth to the Flame’
“Like a Moth to the Flame” is necessary to advance Dead Frequency. Your choices in this mission impact the rest of Dead Frequency. The Kryvenko route is more direct and avoids additional tasks. Select this path to simplify your objectives.
3. Optional: Collect Psi-Pills
Locate Sgt. Batalov, the medic, at the northwest corner of Camp Icarus. Talk to him to collect psi-pills. These pills are not mandatory but are helpful during challenging moments in the Zone.
4. Search for Alpha and Bravo Teams
If you choose the Senkevych route, locate two teams cut off from communications. Visit their sites and show them your Ward Badge to gain their trust. Speak to the commanders to gather information. Rescue the teams if you wish to assist further.
5. Explore Echo Station
Travel east from Icarus to find Echo Station. Enter the building and search its interiors. Follow the sounds until you hear Shterev’s voice. Proceed cautiously to avoid traps or enemies.
6. Encounter Shterev
Open the door to find Lt. Shterev under a psychic influence. Engage in dialogue, but prepare for combat. Shterev becomes hostile and attacks regardless of your choices.
7. Activate the Device
Leave the room where you found Shterev. Locate the terminal nearby and activate the device. Flip the switch to begin the process.
8. Survive the Onslaught
While the device powers up, zombie stalkers will attack. Defend yourself and defeat them to secure the area. Use your best weapons and tactics to survive this wave.
9. Return to Shterev’s Room
Once the fight ends, go back to Shterev’s location. Investigate the room for clues and proceed to the next step of the mission.
10. Contact Faust
Access the computer in the room. Copy the files to retrieve Faust’s recorded message. This step concludes the Dead Frequency mission. The mission ends without any specific rewards, but the story progresses.
