Stalker 2’s ‘Deceive the Deceiver’ side quest takes you through a rollercoaster ride full of friendships, betrayals, and murder.
The world of Stalker 2 is built upon betrayal and deception, right to its very core. The Deceive the Deciever quest in Stalker 2 goes deep into these themes. Akopyan has been betrayed by Babay, someone he once considered a friend. Now, he wants to deceive Babay to lure him out and kill him. He enlists your help for this, and it is your job to deceive the deceiver.

How to Start the Deceive the Deceiver
You begin the ‘Deceive the Deceiver’ quest in Stalker 2 by talking to the survivor southeast of the Garbage zone. The survivor is tucked away in a compound guarded by enemies. Kill the enemies, and you will hear his cry for help. Talk to him, and he will reveal his story and how he was betrayed by Babay.
Now, he wants to take revenge and wants you to go and deceive Babay to lure him out into the open to kill him. He will give you a weapon and ask you to show it to Babay to convince him better. Agree to help him to start the ‘Deceive the Deceiver’ quest.
How to Complete the Deceive the Deceiver
Head to the Slag Heap after talking to Akopyan and make your way to Babay’s hideout. Talk to Babay and show him the weapon to instill fear in him. He will panic and will ask you for help. Agree to help him and follow him to his stash.
As he heads to his stash, you will have plenty of chances to kill him. Do not kill him here and instead keep following him. He will then reach two of his friends and will thank you for your efforts, transferring 3,374 coupons to you. You have the choice to walk away and spare him or kill him instead. We recommend killing him to prevent him from betraying and murdering more people in the future. Kill him and his buddies after receiving the coupons.
Head back to the spot where you met Apokyan to find his corpse. The survivor succumbed to his injuries and now lies dead. This will complete the Deceive the Deceiver side quest in Stalker.
