This guide will show you where to acquire, how to finish, and what rewards you get for completing the Counterfeit Credits Intel Chain in Star Wars Outlaws.
In Star Wars Outlaws, Kay Vess gathers Intel in various ways. She overhears conversations, examines data pads, and interacts with significant characters along the way. These secondary quests are typically shorter than her primary missions. Some involve quick, one-time tasks, while others develop into more intricate intel chains, offering choices that can influence Kay’s Reputation with different syndicates. Counterfeit Credits, a longer Intel Chain with multiple steps, is one of the first ones Kay can get.
Counterfeit Credits

- Location: Mirogana – Toshara
- Flavor Text: The Pykes are investigating an influx of counterfeit credits in Mirogana.
How to Start the Counterfeit Credits Intel Chain
To start the Counterfeit Credits Intel Chain, you will need to be in Good standing or higher with the Pyke Syndicate faction. Improve your faction Reputation by giving them Imperial Data, taking and completing their contracts, and making decisions that benefit them during quest or Intel chains. Once you fulfill the requirement, Kay can freely walk in the Pyke district in Mirogana on Toshara.
Kay will encounter a Pyke sitting at a table near the Pyke Cardroom in their district, who will mention a counterfeiting problem in Mirogana. This will start the first Intel piece in the Intel Chain, Market Trader.
Market Trader Intel
- Description: Shopping around in the market could reveal who it is.
- Location: Mirogana – Toshara
- Flavor Text: One of the traders in the market might be responsible for securing the counterfeit credits.
The quest marker will point you to the Mirogana market area just northwest of the Pyke District. When you get there, go to the merchant Hen Puon and sell him anything you might have. It won’t actually sell anything, but instead Kay will see that the credits he offers her are fake and refuse them. After claiming ignorance, the merchant points Kay toward the soup kitchen in the Crimson Dawn District. This will resolve the Market Trader Intel, and start the Soup Kitchen Intel.
Soup Kitchen Intel
- Description: There might be evidence around the soup kitchen in the Crimson Dawn district.
- Location: Crimson Dawn District – Toshara
- Flavor Text: A market trader was paid with counterfeit credits after making a delivery to the soup kitchen.
You will need to go into the Crimson Dawn district for the Soup Kitchen Intel. If you are in Good standing with Crimson Dawn, Kay can walk right in. Otherwise, Kay will have to sneak in and avoid detection until she gets to the Intel she needs. There are a couple of routes that will get Kay into the Crimson Dawn district stealthily. She can either go through a vent on the west side of the district or through a storeroom on the east side. The vent side is easier, albeit longer, to navigate, so that’s the route we recommend.
Even if you are in Good standing with the Dawn, you will need to enter the restricted area to get to the area needed for the Intel. Once you are inside the Crimson Dawn Vault area, you will see the large chest full of counterfeit credits. Interact with it, and Kay will call Waka or ND (depending on how far you are in the story). You will then have to decide if Kay will Warn Crimson Dawn or Tell the Pykes.
Credits Stockpile Intel – Warn Crimson Dawn
- Description: Crimson Dawn are responsible for circulating the counterfeit credits.
- Location: Market District – Toshara
- Flavor Text: Eleera might appreciate a heads-up that the Pykes are onto them.
If you choose the Dawn, Kay will need to sneak back out of the Crimson Dawn district (or at least the restricted area if you are in Good standing). Eleera can be found at the cantina in the Market District right in front of the main entrance to the Crimson Dawn District. Once you get to her, speak to her to resolve the Intel Chain and claim your rewards. The only reward gained for warning Crimson Dawn is some moderate reputation gain for them. No matter which choice you make, there is no reputation loss with the opposing faction.
Credits Stockpile Intel – Tell the Pykes
- Description: The Pykes will be interested to know who’s behind it.
- Location: Pyke Syndicate District – Toshara
- Flavor Text: Crimson Dawn are stockpiling counterfeit credits in their hideout behind the soup kitchen.
If you choose the Pykes, Kay will sneak out of the Crimson Dawn district (or at least the restricted area if you are in Good standing). Return to the Pyke who gave you the initial Intel to tell the Pykes about the counterfeit credits. Speak to him, and he will finish the Intel Chain. For siding with the Pykes, you will get a minor Reputation gain for them and 250 credits. As mentioned above, there is no Reputation loss for siding with the Pykes.
